Do you have a model number or something similar?
I have the H&R 25mm spacers. They are hubcentric and come with new lugs.

Ben,
I have a few questions for you...
Since I'm sticking with a TMIC, I'm curious as to why you chose IPR instead of the others on the market like Perrin, AVO, or Process West. Care to elaborate? (Yes, I realize you've since switched to a FMIC.)

I plan on upgraded my BPV when I do my intercooler. Any reason why you went with Forge Recirculating instead of some of the other brands others are running?

Can you explain the "hybrid boost control" you're utilizing? I'm on the fence about which route I wanna go, manual or electronic. Curious about your setup.

Lastly, why did you go with the Walbro 255 fuel pump over the DW 300?

Car looks great btw. You haven't wasted any time with mods. I look forward to following your build thread more to see what's next.
Thanks,
. . .

For most people, I think sticking with a TMIC is a good choice. The main driver for the IPR was cost. It is identical to the Perrin. It is quite large, but does have some minor fitment issues (just like the Perrin does). I was under the assumption that all the TMIC's would end up performing similarly, so I went with the most affordable one. If you have money to spend, I think you could get a little better fitment, if you spend the money on it (AVO or PW, Perrin will have the same fitment issues).

The Forge is a simple design, and is very well made. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles that some of the other valves have (adjustable lift, partial vent-to-atmosphere, etc), but I felt all of these other features were not very useful, and the Forge did exactly what I wanted it to.

In a hybrid setup the EBCS controls boost during partial throttle. At WOT the manual controller takes over. This allows for quick spool times and solid boost (manual), while still retaining the partial throttle boost control for better drive-ability (electronic). IMO, for most people the 3-port EBCS is plenty. It is a big step over the OEM solenoid.

When I got the pump the DW300 was not yet widely available. They both seem like fine choices to me. For my current setup the Walbro 255 is plenty. For a bigger turbo, a larger pump will likely be needed (probably even more than the DW300).

I decided to swap out my exhaust for a full 3" setup. Ordered the Invidia Q300, and it showed up on Friday! Here are some photos. Video in the second post.

Had a bung welded in for my widband O2 sensor:

Newer Invidia downpipes have trimmed dividers (to allow VF52 wastegates to open):

Yeah, I suppose you'd call it a full turbo back exhaust. They only sell it in separate pieces though. No inspections in MN.

It's kind of on my list, but not really high up there.

I'll try! Just need some more money

I definitely drive it around a lot, but I'm usually on the north side of the cities.

The 2011 WRX Hatch uses the same exhaust as the 08+ STI Hatch. It would even fit the 08-10 WRX Hatch, but you would have to cut the bumper for the extra exhaust tips.

I have not done that (yet). The joint right before the muffler is still the lowest point (just like the SPT), and the fact that the muffler is right between the wheels means it has to be some kind of lump to be able to hit the muffler (ie. not a speedbump or something that both wheels go over at the same time).

gotcha. love the car! did you notice any difference in power with the downpipes since the invidia is full 3" and the cobb tapers to 2.5"?

I did try logging and plotting on Virtual Dyno before and after the new exhaust, and (somewhat disappointingly) there was very little difference. Gains were small (<10HP/TQ), which is small enough that it could be differences in roads, wind, weather, etc. Hard to say if it really gained me anything, but maybe a tiny bit.

Overall, I'd say that (at 350WHP) a 2.5" exhaust is not much of a restriction.

You mentioned taking those shots with your cell phone. Now you can connect that 70-200 to your phone (iPhone and sworn allegiance to Apple Required).
