If the '04 is anything like the '00:

Disconnect sway bar endlink.
Remove bolt from lower ball joint that goes through the hub and knock out the LCA from the hub with a hammer.
Punch spring pin out of axle stub that keeps it attached the transmission.
Remove nut from outter axle stub and knock it out of the hub with a hammer. ~137ft/lbs on this nut.

Installation is reverse. Should take about an hour to do both sides if you're swapping out the axles for already assembled units.

I'd have put it all back together proper but I thought RWD would be just too much fun, and it is! But knowing my luck, it's going to snow tomorrow.

Finished wiring up the compass pack, installed the supertones (and shamed myself for it), and did a psuedo-permanent install of the bed in back for road trip/camping mode

replaced the pcv valve, did a seafoam treatment to the intake, no oil though,

im having problems with my idle. two codes in both relating to the IAV and the high idle problems.. i think they both can be pointed back to the twe ported throttlebody, and extrude honed intake.

Drove it about 400 miles. Used a couple rest area on ramps to test out the new clutch, launch control, etc. with a couple 0-60 runs (65mph freeway ).
Found out the latest firmware on my access port isn't functioning properly for the 0-60 test.
After the test it switches to the 1/4 mile results screen (odd) and doesn't show any results for anything (double odd)..

Purchased a dash/window cam for her. Getting crazy out there after witnessing an insurance fraud being pulled. Driver reversed into another and claimed being rear ended.

Not bad review for only $65. It has the option to auto records over from the start once the card is full, unlike cell phones/go pros.

I have that same one, but the sensor is going out so everything has a purple tint now. Don't know if that's a major problem with them, but do make sure to use a class 10 sd card. They don't like anything lower for very long and will start freezing up and whatnot.

The Hero 3 gopros do have the option of acting as a dashcam while plugged in(overwriting, starting when 12v socket gets power, turning off, etc) with one of the newer firmwares.

Oh wow didn't know that about the GP hero 3's, that's great to know in case I want to upgrade. For the price though, this was a great one for <$100. I've read up on the class 10 cards, picked up a 32gb sandisk also on Amazon too.

Replaced the A/C idler pulley...heard an odd whining that started two days ago and decided that it was the most likely culprit. I was correct; after I pulled it out I spun it a bit by hand and it sounded like it was full of freakin gravel. $40 metal replacement from the local Oreilly's and I was back in business in about 20 minutes.

After that, finally flashed the ECU to Cobb Stage 1

I had my timing belt replaced last summer and one if the idler's had that same graunchy feel. Scooby Bucks paid for all but $8.34. No noticeable noise from under the timing cover though. ~10 and did a little PM...

Went to the Stealership today to get an alignment and came out with a suggested repair and labor invoice. They say I need a new rear passenger side Abs tone ring and sensor and a rear drivers side axel, wheel bearing and seals. Bad news all around.

Swapped my VF39 for a new one and put the heatshield on after I cut it to fit the external waste-gate.

Looks sweet! Good luck getting that bumper back on. I had a hell of a time with the tabs at the fender on the driver's side. One bent a bit and isn't perfectly flush. Apparently it is pretty common. Just pissed me off since my car was two weeks old and I'd just pulled the bumper to install my Hellas.
