That sound like a great idea! Who else is down to go?

Also, check out my F/S thread before I throw this stuff on the national classifieds. I'd like to sell as much locally as I can. And tell your friends!

No week days for me. Hell, weekends are usually out, too.

I usually steer clear of them. If they're not rubbernecking, they're texting instead of paying attention to the road.

With my interior out of the car I was able to plastidip most of the plastic. Apparently, I need to make a paint booth, the fumes are making their way into the house. Windows closed, fan on near where I'm working to blow fumes, and it's still getting in.

After having little success with dying the carpet material, I'm going to wrap the headliner with suede. Anybody done this before or have fabric work experience? I was debating on foam-backed suede (online) or just the fabric (joann/michaels) and using a spray adhesive.

Little success with dying? Did it come out blotchy? I was thinking of dyeing the back part of my wagon black, make it look cleaner.

IMHO if your going to go through the trouble of dying your carpet, you might as well color match the a, b, and c pillars (plati dip in multiple coats), relocate the battery and rip up the sound deadening under the carpet (dry ice). Also do the headliner, otherwise it COULD look out of place. I plan on doing everything except dying/ doing the headliner this winter. Gotta love my logic.

The back isn't so hard to take apart :P Also I took a drive to Phoenix and back, I really, really need MORE sound deadening for the exhaust. I feel deaf. Or, maybe find a quieter muffler.

It requires so much to get the color black. I did suede on the headliner. It looks pretty damn nice except for the few areas that the glue dried before I could get it fitted properly. I currently have no front passenger seat, and my GOD I have WAY too much crap in the car. I emptied the glove box, and console onto the passenger floor and it looks like I've been hoarding. Ridiculous.

You should post a pic on how it all turned out !

There's a 2001 impreza at upickit here in PV. Making a point to check it out either after work today or first thing in the morning. Hoping to find some black interior parts to swap, maybe seats. Any of you local boys going out there?

Swapped leather seats in front this weekend. Black, and in great shape. Airbags, heated and electric. Grabbed black seat belts, subwoofer and some trim pieces. The seats are great. I wasn't so sure about leather AND black but after cleaning them up they're pretty damn comfortable. Now I need to pull the sunroof cover out and recover it so I can put the headliner back in. I'll also be picking up some sound deadening stuff. Maybe we can make a weekend of it, ferrettank?

Nice score on the leather. Blended up ivory soap works great on leather, leaves a slick, yet dry touch. Doesnt smell like leather cleaner either.

I heard about it from an old leather tradesman. I think the original ivory formula might work better, but ive been impressed so far. For really dry, stretched seats... The leather conditioners work, but you have to let them soak for days and wipe it off before anyone sits. I use da ivory on all my interior now. Probably doesnt have the UV protection of armor-all but thats what the window tint is for.
