So, all of us who in too deep to sell/trade in our WRXs for an STi are now faced with a problem - especially if we take our cars to the track. The STi will render our cars obsolete unless we go down the "big power" route. I will be forced to put a 2.5 turbo in my car within the next 18 months to keep pace with these guys. I will also have to upgrade my tranny. I reckon thats going to be in excess of $10K right there.

I'm pissed off.

Prices - if the STi lists at $34000 plus Ca sales tax thats up to about $37000 plus a dealer mark up...that makes an even $40K

How is Mitsubishi going to compete? Upgrade to 25PSI boost on their 2.0?

Hehe, the evolutionm.net forums are down. Must be they just gave up when news of the STi came out!

Or you could use the car for what it's designed...offroad! If you wanted an all out power/drag monster you should've gotten a supra! I would be interested in a USDM STI tranny though!

Too funny. There will always be someone faster than you in a car more expensive than yours.

Always.

Your logic is hysterical.

Whoever is running that site decided to upgrade their servers over the weekend. Well, duh.... they couldn't have picked a dumber time to do that right after the intro of the new U.S. LanEvo when you know the forums would be the busiest.
