Yeah i look at some of the rattle threads and wonder what people are talking about. Less rattles because the frame might be more stiff so less movement

Well half the rattles my car has is from the hatch or somewhere around the hatch. So it makes sense

I got hooked. I ordered the stars logo with reflective green stars on carbon fiber background ( for my two tone teal sport). Cheaper directly from them vs eBay.

http://www.autoaccessoriesgarage.com says the husky weatherbeaters are only available for the 2013 impreza. Do these fit the 2012 impreza?

I the "I" on the i-badge supposed to stand for Impreza, or is it a logo for some company that produces aftermarket parts for cars?

Impreza. The I badge dates back far, pre-bugeye days.

on stock rims? i bet a 225 could fit with a little bulge. but with after market. seems like a 8.5 with a +45 or so could fit with a 245 or 255 with negative camber. but just a hypothesis.

I put Rotas on my car with 225/45/17 tires. Wheels are 17x7.5 48 offset. Steering feels weird.

How does it feel weird? Is it less responsive or sluggish? I am going to mount my 18s in the spring and I want to know if this is a bad idea or anything.

I only put maybe 40 miles on them so probably it's just me. But car feels sluggish and not as responsive as when 205/50/17 were on. I can't really figure it out. Side by side tires look identical maybe 225/45 is tad taller. Anyway, It will take some time to get used to them. But looking at weather we will only get 1 nice week and back to snow so winter set (195/60/16) is going back on my car. My wife looked at me like I was a moron after she saw me switching wheels only after I put them 3 days before. Ha ha

More rotational mass I would guess. What size were your OEM rims?

I didn't check weight but just carrying them up and down stairs I wager difference will be minimal.

I have almost the same deal but mine are 225/50/17 on some other lightweight forged wheels. No steering or rubbing issues here! Maybe it's your tread pattern?

What are the new tires you installed? Difference in design and compounds can have an effect on the steering/handling. It is not necessarily the width and/or height that is the culprit.

I know exactly what you mean and it has to do with the tire release agent on the tire tread. It feels like the car is delayed and almost like a trailer swaying, correct? Tire Rack recommends 500 miles to wear the agent away for the tires to feel normal but at the same time they will feel a bit more sluggish as they are a softer compound that stock and are stickier if you will. Hope it gets better for you.

Stupid question but does the 2012 Impreza have a low tire pressure warning light?
