Getting misfires in all 4 cylinders, found oil on my plugs..
..but.. what could this mean? What is likely the cause of this on a '02 WRX?
I thought i blew my motor, but now i'm having different thoughts. I kept getting this loud ticking sound that seemed to be coming from the middle of the motor, so i look under the car. It seems to be louder near the center, like where the oil pan is. I was thinking rod knock of some sort, or my crank, but i don't know.... I didn't think i could drive it, but i gave it a shot, and drove it for 30 min. I took off the belts that go on the alternator and a/c to see if it had anything to do with the idler pulley, but the car ran the same with both belts off. I floored it in 1st and 3rd, and got up to 18 psi and it was fine. The CEL was ticking occasionaly, giving me 01 counts of knock occording to the Utec. I scanned it after i cleared the codes and got p0304, 02, 03.... all misfires in those respective cylinders. Now the car doesn't tick at all (you and the CEL doesn't flicker. It drives fine, but now i don't know if i really need the STi shortblock... Any thoughts?

what upgrades do you have? The ticking could be caused by the solenoid - how loud is the ticking?
