Been using a Kinugawa turbo for about 2 months now and so far it has performed flawlessly. I was looking for twin scroll options to get me close to 400whp and as you know there are not many options. So I figured it's worth a shot and another member on here had good results. I went with the TD05L-20G twin scroll and it's pretty good.

They make a couple bolt in stock location twin scroll turbos for subarus.... Not sure what HP you could squeeze out of one though. They also offer a twin scroll DP and up pipe flange.

Figured I would chime in. I have their td06sl2 20g 7cm on my 05 wrx. I have nearly every supporting mod you can think of and with this turbo am making, well rather insane power for the size. On 93 pump I'm nearing 370 whp on a mustang dyno. I will soon be swapping in the 8cm housing, EWG and probably meth. I'm hoping for 400 whp. It's been running at 24 psi for months with no issues, and recently tuned it to 28 psi and it's happier than ever, this thing loves boost, and it hadn't smoked on me once yet.
Went to a local drag strip the other day, ran all night. It didn't use one drop of oil, whereas my old vf39 used nearly half a quart. The quality of the turbo was truly surprising, from the machining to the laser engraving on the compressor housing. I've worked on things from Garret's to KKK turbo's and this ranks up there with the best, if not THE best visual quality turbo I've dealt with. So far I've had 0 issues, fitment was spot on and was even given a great deal on one by a seller on eBay. Less than 800$ shipped. I couldn't be happier with my purchase. Thumbs up to kinugawa/ kamak! |

so guys, cheap doesn't mean its bad. people who have actually used and tested them have all posted nothing but good reviews about them. so stop spreading malicious news about them just because they are cheap!
i hope this is the best proof for all of you who think that this is a bad turbo. reviews from all of us. |

Do you have a dynosheet or graph for your 60-1 twinscroll?

Turbine Wheel: 54 / 61mm as im driving a twinscroll, power comes very gradually unlike single scroll. this turbo if im not wrong can pull u hard all the way just that i didnt had my engine worked on so i stayed safe and only went up to 22psi on EJ207. this is the compressor map of 60-1 Last edited by jjasonn; 05-22-2012 at 08:25 AM. |

I think they are from NZ, use a lot of Jap/mitsi parts and will work AOK. I am biased though, JAPAN FTW ;-)
I believe they are popular with the Aussie guys to. OP give it a shot and report back. If you are worried go to turbochargers.com you can get a good deal on there with a more well known variant. Personally, Id use it. |
