Even on a break in tune the turbo just pulls and pulls, Im runing the big headers untill my Perrin Headers come in so its a little laggy but even with the lag it still is building like 10psi by 3000 rpm. I am impressed with the turbo and we are hoping to hit 450 whp on 91oct with 20-22PSI and 500+ whp with 27-30PSI with a 94 oct with lots of meth tune. We think the turbo can do it. I think the turbo is rated at 62lb or 63lb not sure but if I can get those numbers it will be on par with a GT35

i love what i have been hearing about these turbos, my only question is, is there anyone running the S200sx? i am building a v8 207 so i dont want anything to big, this seems just about right, and i wanted to stick with twinscroll, and make 350-400whp and have a usable powerband up to around 8k or so. anyone have any of the 200 turbos on a 2.0? single or twinscroll

The original poster (Post #1) is running a S256 (S200sx) single scroll .63 ar turbo. He made 380 on 93 octane with WRX heads and cams. The 04 Sti with 170,000 that made 395awhp on 93 octane was also running a S256 (Post #4).

sweet sounds good, with avcs, higher compression, and twinscroll hoping for peak torque by 4k or before

ok so then i should get pretty good spool with the twinscroll, just hoping i can get an exhuast side that will still get pretty good spool, and be able to hold till 8k or so, i also plan on running the stock twinscroll headers, and either a modified stock up pipe, or a completely new one

With my .70ar I should be able to keep my powerband to 8k, I beleive that the sx200 is a 60lb turbo quite a bit bigger than a GT3082R so I dont see why you couldnt run to 8k.

what i was reading is that the S200SX is 58lb and comes with 5 diff a/r its like .83,1.0, 1.09, 1.15, and what they call standard, the 1.22 all of which are T4 twinscroll flanges, its a 75/70 turbo, just trying to decide which would be the best exhaust housing on a 2.0, i was thinking something like the 1.09, but no 2.0 have posted everyone is here is either hybrid, or full 2.5

Guys, sorry i am so late to this thread, I work very closely with the BorgWarner engineering team and have a lot of knowledge with the turbocharger specifics... but before we go into any tech I need to clear the air on this -
there is a LOT of confusion about Borgwarner VS Bullseye (aka BEP). Borgwarner is a huge company (publically traded) which has 60 factories in 12 countries. They produce the highest quality turbochargers on the planet, and mfg for many OEMs such as Porsche, VW, Audi, Ford, etc. Quote:

ok so now i have the question is the s200sx 75/70 1.15a/r turbo a real borgwarner??? and does it have extended tip??? also after a few hours of searching i see they also offer a s200 T3 twinscroll that has a bigger compressor and exhaust wheel, but a smaller exhaust housing, why is this? i have been told to talk to full race, but now you post this stuff and i personaly would just like to see some graphs and flow rates so i can see how they react in the real world, not by numbers on paper of what they should do

Yes, it is a real Borg Warner. The S200sx is Airwerks designation for that turbo. It does have extended tip. Bullseye Power takes and uses these same wheels and housings and combines them with some different housings and wheels (also Borg Warner wheels) to offer some new combinations. Some may work better on some applications than others. But they are all Borg Warner parts (sold through their performance division, Airwerks). Bullseye has denoted this turbo as the S256. There are different combinations of housings that they offer for the S256, but the base model is still a S200 series extended tip turbo.
Bullseye just did what some folks did back in the day when the first T3/T4 turbos were conceived. They took a T3 and a T4 turbo and mated the two to make something better suited to a different application. |

I have seen the parts, held them in my hands, seen the Airwerks part numbers. They are not fake in any way.
