I need to put these here...

www.Darvex.com

Good deals on install products... I've bought all of my Stinger power terminals from them... I love the Stinger HPM line..

www.PartsExpress.com

Much like Darvex, but with FAR more products... raw drivers, pre-fab enclosures, tools... you name it...

Monoprice.com is CRAZY!

Its not car related, but they're selling 1000FT of CAT5e cable for about 60$..

50FT of CAT5e cable normally costs like 50$+

Definitely watching this thread for more deals like that!

Last years JVC KW-AVX710 for $232, or pick up the optional BlueTooth receiver + Ipod cable for $360. I just saw this last night and picked one up. If you are looking for a cheap double din touch screen dvd unit thats NOT an ebay brand, definately take a look. It doesn't have a USB port or an SD slot, but I have no need for those. I just checked this morning, 4 left. Retail for this was $599.

Amazon.com: JVC KW-AVX710 7-Inch In-Dash Double-DIN CD/DVD/MP3/iPod Bluetooth-Ready Touchscreen Receiver: Electronics

For those of you that run amps for your highs...be careful, I just looked at this and there is only 1 set of pre-outs for the rears. If you need more you have to get some kind of "external surround sound digital processor"...according to Crutchfield. Still pretty awesome price if this doesn't matter.

Aaaaahhh guys, NOT car audio.... This happens to be the car audio section, those things don't even RELATE to car audio....

I put up monoprice, because you can buy CABLES cheaply, it relates... like speaker wire and things...

This is going off track..... lets get it back in line..

This just in for all you non-DIY car audio guys:
Best Buy just started an offer where if you buy any deck and speakers of the same brand totaling more than 200 dollars, and then buy install, they will instantly knock $100 off the price.
So, if you get a 120 dollar deck, 80 dollar speakers, install for the two is about 90 bucks (plus parts), You'll only pay 190.

That's interesting... I trust BB about as far as I can throw them, but I do all of my OWN install work, and understand others cannot...

For the average Joe, that's not a bad deal... I suppose...

Great unit, if all you want/need is iPod and DVD (or add Bluetooth module for ~$80 -- which I've found very limited with my iPhone), but it delivers nice sound adjustment, transparent iPod interface (pretty much functions like iPod -- and ability to control iPod plugged in through the interface)

The installers in the shop are far more important than the reputation of the company. Go in, talk to the installers, and see if they are knowledgable. Its going to be hit or miss whether or not the shop is good.

One thing that is good, you're buying a product from an authorized retailer with good vendor support and a warranty on the install.

This is true, but i YOU don't have a clue, how are you going to know if THEY do...

That's all i'm saying.. I've known plenty that have worked the big box shops that knew what they were doing, it's just not that common..

I just ran across a thread reviewing this guy

Boss Audio BASS600

Its an 8" Amplified Sub with remote gain control and all that. The reviewer made it sound pretty good, and Amazon has it rated at ~4.5/5 Stars!

Now 60% off (115.05$ instead of 286$!)

http://www.amazon.com/Boss-BASS600-Low-Profile-Amplified-Subwoofer/dp/B000OSZA44
Probably gonna get me one of these, they also make a 10" version (the Boss Audio BASS1200)
