so were there any RWD cars at Sandblast? I'm assuming they finish at the back of the pack, but would be interested in seeing

Katie & Shawn served as our crew at Sandblast and were amazing! And, when we had a "little mishap" to the right front, they were joined by some awesome rally-crossers who helped get us back out there - Adam, John, Jon & Billy. Thanks everyone!! Go MAIC!

Just wait till you get the bill...

Glad to see you and Robin out, Lance. Nice job on the event, and getting faster as the day went on. Throw out the first two stages, and you and Simon had a nice battle going for 2nd in OL.

47/60 spots filled for our first event, with a lot of new names on the entry list. I'm excited to be driving again soon.

As of now, I'd put the chances at 50/50 that I can't make the test & tune. I know that funds are not refundable, but if I am certain that I can't run Saturday, is there a waiting list for people to be able to at least run in my spot for the T&T? If I miss the T&T it will be to try a last push to have the car ready for Sunday.

We won't have a waiting list until we hit the cap for Saturday. If you're able to let me know ahead of time please contact me directly so I know we have an extra spot.

I need advice...

I have a set of winters on steelies I was planning on running. I bent one slightly a few months ago. Still holds air but has a nasty wobble at highway speeds. Bought a cheap set of Saabaru rims off here, stripping an old crappy paint job and find a small crack, about half a dimes diameter in length. Fantastic...

Get the crack fixed, fix/replace the wobbly steelie, mix/match wheels to get by this weekend?

Mix em. The small crack might become larger.

I'll know more as soon as a critical (missing) part comes in- hopefully Thursday. I will most likely still come to SP that day, but if I have to bail out, so will the co-driver. I am not willing to cancel out on Sunday just yet, but I am not feeling very good about my chances of being ready to T&T on Saturday.

On the other hand, with all of the e30 people there, if I tow the car there and we can get it running correctly, the T&T would be literally testing, tuning, and repeating.

All the tires I am using (currently on the steels) are worn the same amount. Iirc the steels and Saab rims are the same width (6.5") so pinching/stretching shouldn't be a concern?

Think ill do two and two and be done unless I find a rim in time...

Differences on the dirt are not as consequential as on tarmac. Tire sets don't have to have perfectly even wear from tire to tire due to some natural slippage.

You'll be fine.

Yeah, on the dirt; but do you have to drive it there, or are you towing?
