Default Getting some strange parts on this ver7 motor i bought

Hopefully i can get some input on this from you guys.

3 weeks ago i got they Ver7 engine from Gruppe-s that was advertised on here. When the engine arrived i noticed that the stickers had been taken off which i found strange. I called grupp-s and they told me it was for importing reason's. Other company's have told me thats not true. Well i dont know to much about that, so i let it go.

Then i found out that the A/C compressor didn't belong to that model it belonged to a Ver8 or an 04-05WRX. I again asked gruppe-s but they were very vauge on giving me an answer. So i just carried on with my install.

Today i removed the power steering pump. I was told that on the back of that pump it should have STI stamped on the back, it doesn't. I am know getting very concerned with my purchase

Also on the Engine block behind where the power steering pump was, there are some numbers.

Anybodys info on this will sure help me sleep tonight

As far as I know, there is no Sti stamping on power steering pumps. The engine code number will be the tag on front lower right of the center timing cover. Most of the times these tags come off.

Here are two STI ps pumps. I _vaguely_ remember there being an sti printed on them somewhere, but for the life of me I can't find it now. They are made by Showa. Anyways the AC compressor and PS pump operate the same on pretty much all models, so they don't really matter.

Well they look like the same one that i have

Serial number starts with FEO the same as mine.

Do the WRX ones start with FEO?

I also took some pics and emailed them over to crawford. Hopefully they can tell me what i've got.

Well i spoke to crawford and he emailed me with the following..

Here are the immediate things I notice:
- Separate TGV/manifold with no butterfly valve
- Red Intake
- AVCS
- The Alternator is the new version (like the USDM STI here in the states)
- The throttle body/ a cable not like wireless like the new USDM sti.

Well this makes me feel soooo much better.

I think i'll be going to crawford to get my first tune
