Has anyone tried the Mizu 3-row? Lifetime warranty and price looks reasonable. Do a search on google shopping and you get a ton of hits. Did a search here for "Mizu" and didn't see anything. Maybe it's a clone of something else.

Okay, here's my review after 9 months with the CXRacing.....the radiator has been fine, but the plastic drain plug has been nothing but problems. Most recently, the low quality rubber O-ring it came with crumbled and fell apart, causing a huge coolant dump on the highway.
I need some help here, does anyone know the thread size of the drain plugs on these things?? I already replaced the o-ring and refilled because I needed the car that day, but it's leaking immediately again. I plan to replace with a Fumoto drain valve with a nipple so I can drain it with a hose and forget the "dump it everywhere" draining method.....but I don't want to take it apart again to measure the threads, just so I can reinstall it and take it apart again when the part arrives......I'm already at 3 coolant changes in 9 months, don't wanna have to make it a 4th I called the "Product Technical Support" at CXRacing and the guy there couldn't tell me what thread size they use, said he didn't know and there was no one else there to ask....all he offered was to sell me a copper plug for $5 to replace the plastic one mine came with. Some technical product expert, huh? I could've called the sales number for that. I don't want to badmouth the entire thing...I'd buy the radiator again, it was a great deal....just get a better drain plug before you install it!! This is the drain I plan to use: http://www.fumotousa.com/nseries.htm Just need to figure out which one to order. Already spoke with them, they said they're tested up to 150psi and have been used in radiators without issue in the past. So, what size am I looking for? Help please! I already read about this before I got my CXRacing radiator, and it has been great, but that plastic piece of crap drain plug was thrown out right when I got it in the box. You just need to buy a solid brass 1/4" NPT plug (unless you want to add fittings to drain it from there, but I prefer draining from the lower radiator hose). Go to a local hardware or plumbing store to get one for a few bucks. Get some teflon tape as well to wrap the plug. I have put 5,000 miles on mine with not a drop to leak so far.

I read about the Teflon tape so I wrapped it and installed my CXracing radiator yesterday. I wish I would have known to go with that brass plug. At least now I will know what to get when it goes. Thanks for the info.

just pray it doesn't go when you're on the highway and not watching the temp gauge, like mine did.
stangzroastrice: you are my HERO for posting up the thread size on that thing! I haven't been able to find an answer anywhere, even from the company themself!! Thank you thanks you! now I can order the drain plug I want without having to pull t out again to measure. you rock. |

You will need some different bolts to mount the fans and trim your hoses back a bit, otherwise it was a perfect fit. |

Thanks for the quick reply, my only car is out of commission right now so I am going to see if they can over night it to me.
I think the bolt size for the fans is floating around this thread somewhere but does anyone know it off hand? |

I'm in this situation as well. Does anybody have some current suggestions for radiators that will drop operating temperatures but without an insane price tag?

CX racing radiator
I ordered the CX racing radiator off of ebay and right away i noticed it didn't have the prettiest welds on it but for the last 2 months it has been working great. i have not had any flux in temperatures or water loss. best $106 i have spent on my car. reason for replacing was the normal crack in the plastic on the top of radiator. cut the top radiator hose on both ends and it sits very nice. i did have to buy the bolts to install fans.

People are asking about the Godspeed Radiator:
It's the same thing as CX Racing I would assume. Just as Gimmick is just another rebadged generic line up. |

I ran my CXRacing radiator for a summer and a winter, no issues at all. The only fitment issue was I had to trim my upper hose, which was not a problem anyways. bolted right up otherwise.

I used a 1/4 NPT ball valve from an air compressor instead of the petcock that people complain about failing. My only issue was that my aluminum shroud no longer because of the added radiator cap. |

Installing the CXracing radiator was pretty easy, but I just now noticed that there is no fill cap on the top...looks like I'm going to have to fill coolant the hard way - what's the best way to go about that anyway? Remove the top hose and pour coolant into the top of the radiator?

I am having the same issue with the drain plug... Has anybody tried to use one of these, maybe coupled with an elbow coming out of the radiator for relatively easy draining.
http://www.grainger.com/Grainger/APO...4&ci_sku=1CKC8 With one of these going directly into the radiator. http://www.amazon.com/Moeller-Brass-Fuel-Line-Elbow/dp/B000MTI1BO |

that's a little cumbersome Nick (overall length, with that handle: 4.42"). If you put that on with an elbo to make it point away from the front of the car, you'd be hitting the engine before the valve closes lol
I was thinking a more compact valve like this one: http://www.grainger.com/Grainger/Min...alve-Kit-1PZB3 with a barb coming out of the other end like this: http://www.grainger.com/Grainger/Hose-Barb-6AFP0 then attached to the barb a length of silicone hose, zip-tied to the frame. You could run it far enough back that you could even drain the whole thing without removing the under-tray if you had to for some reason |

Anyone have any suggestions or complaints on this radiator for MY02.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/02-07...ht_4425wt_1167 I just got the infamous crack in the terribly designed 2002 radiator and am looking through the threads for the most reasonable replacement.. HELPPPP |
