Default 2012 Wrx- 27.6 Mpg

90% highway, but still, I'm happy to see this. After about 50 miles from a fill up. My MPG's went up when I got the TP stage 1 tune.

For the other WRX owners, what's the best you've gotten?

I can get 32 mpg or more if I drive like a grandma on the highway. I haven't seen more than 20mpg in awhile though.. my WRX likes going WOT too much

I'm usually around mid 27s mpg, 50/50 city/freeway driving. and im doing 75-80 mph
if I have some fun it gets down to 26mpg the lowest I ever saw was 25mpg. but all I have is a CBE, and some suspension work, nothing else. waiting for warranty to go out the window before a get cobb ap, and sf intake.

The most I've ever seen was 29.4 which surprised me because I has a car full of luggage and two bikes on my roof. That was all highway. Typical daily driving 50/50 city highway I get 21.6 max 22. That's according to the digital display never actually calculated it manually because I really just don't care.

My best was 28mpg, all highway. I average 23 in my normal driving though which is 60/40 local/hwy.

Driving down from Maine to NY got me 34.5 MPG, but it was all highway on a downhill slope.

On my trip this past summer, I did aprox 2200miles. My range was 28-29mpg on some tanks if I was staying around 60-65mph but if I went above the into the 70mph range it dropped to about 24-25mph.

Edit. Just reliezed this was for 2012 wrx, mine is 09 so take it for what it is

If you buy this car to brag about MPG's.

I get about 17 in the city.

On my all down hill trip from tahoe to reno NV (all coasting on highway 50) my dash said 76 mpg. It's a really curvy semi steep 10 miles. I was just meesing around to see how high I could get it to read. I'm sure it would have been higher but I'm guessing this is what the dash gauge tops out at? My commute is stop and go and I average 22-23.

2010 WRX
28.5 MPG average over 20,000 miles. 60% Hwy.
On the highway my car gets the same MPGs cruising at 50MPH as it does at 65MPH. It does get a little worse above 65.
Whether on the freeway or in city driving, the trick for me is to maintain momentum and use the brakes as little as possible. Never come to a complete stop if you can help it. It's easier on your clutch too.
It's amazing how little you need to brake if you look way ahead and adjust for what's happening in front.
The brakes and clutch on my old 2003 WRX are at 100K+ and still ok.

2008 WRX on e85... my dah readout says 26.1 on average but I'm actually averaging about 17.5mpg. Not to shabby for $3.49/gallon when premium is $4.30/gallon or more range.

When on 93 my readout is like 36mpg , oh the joys of 1000cc injectors lol

Really? Higher flow rate injectors aren't causing more fuel consumption, because if properly tuned their not flowing all 1000cc's.

2011 WRX, 20 mpg, combination of city and highway.

I probably should stop driving it like I hate it.

I couldn't break 22 until I put some mods on the car and a tune. The highest I have seen is 25.9 for about a 25 mile trip. Once i get into the city, it goes downhill fast.

So when I'm driving down East, am I going uphill?

Depends on your route. I should have mentioned that the 34.5 only lasted for about 3 miles.
