Here's an Orange 1st gen for ya. It might give you inspiration. Or at least it will allow you to visualize the whole car that color.

it has been way to long since I have updated my thread. not much has been done but I figured I would update it anyways.

I installed my new struts and H&R lowering spring is front a rear to get rid of some of the wheel gap and to improve the 20 year old suspension. ( drives like a caddy now)
[IMG][/IMG]
I picked up a set of 2008 legacy wheels and put them on and realized they were barely rubbing on my struts so I went on down the High Preformance Auto Supply and picked up a pair of wheel spacers that gave me the clearance I needed. all to do now is roll the fenders in a little bit.

Nice! Mine rubber in the rear when I went lower. A slight roll took care of that problem.

I'm not feeling the stand alone orange grill either but I think painting the whole car orange(since that's your thing), keep the trims black(Don't paint over them like the other one used as an example), and placing a black vinyl overlay (or paint) on the top of the roof would come out good. (Having it match the trims and bumpers)

Yeah I understand what you are saying. I think I want to paint the top black and leave the trim black but get rid of all the chrome. And paint the body red.

I'm not sure if you know or not but in case you don't. 02-07 wrx struts will fit you're leggy, but you just gotta use the leggy top hats in the rear and get wrx front top spring seats and it will handle like a wrx it's amazing and feels great, I have 04 wrx kyb struts with Megan racing lowering springs. I'll post a picture of my car as soon as I figure that out

I could point you in the right direction. Lots of people swap the 5 Speed. It's nice that everything bolts together as it would from the factory. You would have to find all the 5 speed pieces.
