Unhappy Please help! I need clutch info asap!

I recently purchased a barely used ACT HD clutch for the 2002 wrx and pressure plate for my car.

Unfortunately, the guy that recommended I buy this for my SWAP that has a N/A LEGACY transmission, is now not responding.

Yes, I know NOW it won't work. My question is, what part of the clutch kit (the clutch or the pressure plate) makes it function with pull versus a push transmission?

Basically, can I just buy a legacy trans compatible part of the clutch kit and keep the other part???? Or do I have to buy a whole new kit?

If I can get away with just buying a part of the kit, do I need to buy the clutch or the pressure plate?

If I have to buy a whole new kit, can anyone recommend a fairly cost effective source or brand? money is pretty tight right now...

THANK YOU, ANYONE THAT CAN HELP I THANK IN ADVANCE!

You only need a small part to make it work with one or the other. I believe its the bearing in the pressure plate that makes it mate to push or pull. When comparing my buddies to mine(Both have Cusco Super Singe Racing Clutch) that was the only difference. Thats my best guess I will get you a firm answer tomorrow. I am in Japan so that will be in about 16 hours!!

clutches are either push or pull type and cannot be convert to work with the other. It also depends on the size of the assembly, either 225 or 230, etc. Sorry you got screwed, but the cheapest clutches I've seen are from clutchcityonline. good luck
