Default Some pics from the Evo Vs. STi shootout.

Phil from Element tuning. 2nd fastest Subaru of the day. Nice guy. Thanks for the tire pressure gauge.

Big Al vs. Stock Sti

Turbo Trix Project STi Pretty insane set up.

I'll post up some more pics as soon as I get some of them developed.

Enjoy!

Fastest time of the day was AMS's Evo running a 9.90? But the winner over all was Big Valley's STi.

AMS car ran a 9.92@145 on drag radials. Fastest Evo off the bottle to date.

It has the stock gearset, with the syncros upgraded, but still factory.

Thats correct. Every single part in the tranny, tcase, and rear end is 100% factory Mitsubishi. Even all the diffs. The trans has been built and blueprinted by Shepherd Racing. The tcase has the hardened gears from the 04+ Evo. Only significant driveline upgrades are an Exedy Triple carbon clutch and Driveshaft shop axles at all 4 corners.

Big Valley's STI won the event, beating the Dyno Flash evo in the final. The STI ran 10.2 to 10.5 all day on street tires.

Mr. Hoppe was updating me on the TopSpeed EVO build and power. Obviously Doug didn't run hat car at full tilt (it "only" traped 120s); which makes sense to me as the car was just put together. Curious though, what is the car making now? Whens the next trip to the strip planned?

PS. Where are my front bushings? The hairy-slack-ars Porter screwed us both on those puppies... I am going to beat him down when I get back to ATL.

And I have to admit, that car certainly makes one consider the darkside.
