Default 07-06 STi trans swap

I have a 06 STi and was wondering if i was to try and swap my trans out with an 07 STi what all i wound need to do to make it work correctly, and if there are any benefits to doing this, thanks

Get different gear ratios but thats it. All you would need to do is change transmission. As your rear diff has same final drive as 07 sti. After selling yours you may be out only a few hundred bucks since more people tend to want 07 sti trannys than other years.

So it will go right in with no wiring difference or tuning issues?
