Dont let the service cost scare you. shop around, ducati was still offering free service when you buy a bike.
If you can work on a subaru you can work on a ducati.

You just need the belt tool and some computer software and your gold.

Maybe $600 in all that.

Yes, but insurance for an SV650 is $100 a year for full coverage. So hello SV650.

$80 a month was cheap.... When I bought my 1st ducati, I was 20 years old, 17 years ago. Some places wanted to charge me 10k a year while others didnt even know what a ducati was, or told me hey we dont cover it, but do you mind coming by with it so we can all see it.... lol

And if the girl on the phone sounded like a cutie... I did..... Ah those where the days..
Oh and for christmas my 9 month old is getting a electric ducati monster to match his shirt....lol

gotta start them out early..

When you go all out sport bike like a 600 GSXR it will be a lot more than the ducati monster to insure.

I think a SV is like 60HP and all the fairing bikes are like 110hp. Also insurance looks at accidents. Not that many on ducati's cause they are a bike that most experienced people buy.

I don't like full out sport bikes at all. I'm a fan of the old scrambler/cafe racer/naked appearance, so the Monster was right up my alley. Absolutely gorgeous bike, but just too much money for me at this time.

This isn't going to be a race or track bike for me. Just an around town weekend toy.

That is an 09 btw........ If you are in Dallas Fort Worth, check out RPM Cycles over by the old Texas Stadium. That is one of the better Triumph Dealers, they have demo rides also so you might be able to go ride one.

the thruxton is a really cool bike. The SV650 is quite a bit faster, but the thruxton is torquey and fun and a local rider on one here allegedly can keep up with the sportbikes on the twisty road rides quite well.

They are beautiful. One of the only bikes I would sell my SV650 for.

So who in TXIC thinks they can be a motorcycle ramp?

What amazes me, is that they all seem so shocked when it doesn't work.

Galleria in Dallas? Says you are in Houston, I would but I still had snow at my house in Fort Worth but it was very nice.

For anyone interested there is a Texas Sport Bike Association Meeting I am going to Wednesday the 24th @ http://www.urbanspoon.com/r/13/14496...Richland-Hills

from 7pm to 9pm. Mostly older riders no douche bags, seems alright if you wanna do some track days.

Here's info on the group.

Well ain't this a small world, that pic looks suspiciously familiar

I'm waiting for our V4 race bike to be apportioned so I can start tearing into it. I won't make the CMRA race at Texas World Speedway this weekend but with any luck we'll be running it at Eagles Canyon next month.

I have the same name on af1 pm me. Not a lot of RSV riders in my area.

A few old school guys in that tsba club ride 1st gen mille's.
The president is C-bar on af1, he does not promote it much on there I guess to not get into trouble.
