To answer your question - it depends greatly on your ride height. Slammed you'll need a very aggressive pull. If you aren't SUPER low you'll need to roll flat all around, and a slight to moderate pull in the rear.
Thanks for the help now i have one more question to finalize my wheel specs.
I want my wheels to be 18x10 + 25 with 255s at the same ride height as above.
Can it fit? Of course im going to pull n roll all fenders but how much pull do i need?
Also im not planing to run more -3 camber
Thanks again

You're gonna need at least -3 degrees probably of all the 10 wide setups I see. Also you may have to modify the fender tubs for full lock to lock steering

fitment help please
year: 2005
model: STi
wheel model: Rota Grid
wheel size/offset: 18X8.5 +44mm
tire brand/model: Michelin Pilot Sport A/S
tire size: ? (proper fit - no stretching) suggestions? I was thinking 245/40/18 but would go slightly larger if I could get away with it w/out fender mods
suspension: Racecomp Eng. Black Springs
alignment: -2* F -1.5* R 0 toe
fender mods: ideally, would like to not have to
spacers: yes/no? size? N/A

Still wondering what would be the best size tire to run and if these will fit w/out fender mods. If not, is there an offset that would? Looking to move up from my 17's

Will be selling these soon and stepping up to 18x10, coilovers and some fender work. John
With that setup do you think you could go 18x9 without any issues?

Hey guys, I've been in the market for some NT03s for a while now and have been thinking about what tires to pair it up with. I would just like to know what kind of tires you guys recommend for a DD/I guess you can call it "Spirited Driving" (occasional mountain runs etc). I've heard good and bad things about the hankook v12s. I have sumitomo HTRZ IIIs right now, but I wanted to try something different. Also if I should go with 245s or 255s and what kind of fender work and camber that requires. Also if anything else is needed to support this setup, I have more a performance oriented goal in mind.

year: 2003
model: wrx
wheel model:NT03s
wheel size/offset: 18x9.5 +40
tire brand/model: (unsure) recommend me something!
tire size: 245 or 255/35/18
suspension: ST coilovers (swaybars coming)
alignment: 1.5 camber in the front not sure what I would need in the rear
fender mods: none, but willing to if i have to
spacers: yes/no? size?

I WOULD REALLY LIKE SOME HELP.....
I have about 1/2 inch in the rear between the edge of the tire and the edge of the fender. I have plans to get BC or Meagan coilovers but for now I just want to stuff some tires. 245's? 255's? By 40 or 45? This is how she sits now....

Default 08 wrx tire/wheel fitment questions

Hey everyone, as soon as a bought my car (nov) I ditched the stock tires and got some blizzaks for the winter. Summer isn't exactly around the corner, but I'm starting to think about my summer wheel/tire setup. Right now I'm thinking about doing 18x9 Rota G-Forces. For a tire I've heard good things about the star specs. I was wondering what size would fit best without having to roll my fenders? I'm running stock suspension. Also, are there any other tires that have similar performance for cheaper? Sorry for the noob questions, let me know if I can provide any more info to help you guys out.

Hi noob here , ive read most of this thread and there is a lot of good info in it, i just have one question that i didnt see covered throughout the thread. Im a fan of some stretch but no poke.
I have a 2012 sti and want to run linea corse lemans in 18x9.5 +17, with 245/40/18...OR 255.. How would this look?
And Should i be able to fit that without too much problem? Rolling the rear fenders isnt a big deal to me. Im welcome to all insight on tire suggestions, but like i said im not trying to go crazy with the stretching, but a little is nice.
*On bc br coilovers.
Thanks in advance!

you'll need a 235, or 225 to fit a +17. that offset is just FAR to low to run any sort of "proper" tire size.

you will have to roll all 4 corners pretty much regardless of what size tire you run. more tire means you'll need to start pulling.

Okay, that makes sense.
I found the same wheel and specs but with a +30 offset, would i be better off going with those? and running 245's? or would it not matter? as far as having to roll and pull and what not.
Im looking for a nice stance with no wheel gap, not trying to be ridiculously low or anything

there will be a bunch of "wheel poke" regardless of tire size.

in order to run an offset that low without having too many problems, you will NEED to have some pretty decent stretch.

This is an 18x10 +18 with 225/40 federals.

the difference between that set up and the one you want, is only 5mm at the outer face of the wheel. and you WILL need to be that low for that fitment to look good.

So should i look for a wheel with around a +30 offset? or will running ANY 18x9.5 require me to have super stretchy tires? just trying to clear things up

On a 2012 sti with 18x9.5 + 30 with a 245/40 u will just have to roll, not pull. My friend has 18x10.5 +30 with 245/40 and he just had to roll, no pull on his 2011 sti.

I was wondering if anyone knew if the Motegi Mr125 18x9 with a +45 offset on a stock 11 sedan suspension would require rolling the fenders?

I was not really specific enough in a previous post pages ago.

2005 STi
BC Racing BR coilovers
17x9 +12 Varrstoen 2.2.0 (confirmed brake clearance with Varrstoen)
Bridgestone Potenza RE070 215/45/17

I'm wondering if I'll need a pull in the rear, camber bolts, or both? I'm hoping I can get away with one or the other. I know I need a roll all around to go lower. The tires stretch pretty nice from the few examples I've seen and their beefier in sidewall.

I ride fairly low in height but don't plan on tucking tire. Right at the tread is a nice height for me
