Also, one cannot compare turbocharging a n/a Honda engine to a n/a Subaru. They are completely different animals. |

I had a ej22 open deck on my wrx that i boosted 21psi for 2 years doing numerous autox and street pulls. Short block was out of a 96 impreza outback, heads were 2.0wrx turbo was a TD06-20g. 360awhp. I thought the rings were bad so i started making a built motor. Turns out the seals on the turbo went. I sold the motor with a rebuilt turbo and it is still going to this day.
I think good tuning had a major part in it. Quote:

this is awsome! now as far as the boosted N/A argument goes i say its up to the owner of the vehicle to decide if he wants to boost it or not.weather its right or wrong its a step in the right direction. keep up the great work cant wait to see more progress

Some of us have been saying this the whole time I'll take an aftermarket turbo over a factory turbo any day. As long as Subaru gave us an engine that can hold up to boost, factory power doesn't mean much to me. I'll probably give it a few years though to make sure there aren't any long term warrantied issues, and decide what I want to do once the market has settled down.

That doesn't look right, isn't it 272 WHP and 209 WTQ?
Either way this is the power that this car needed. I don't know about the rest of you but I really wanted one until I drove it. IMHO, the car from the factory is underpowered and the handling wasn't that much better that justified the lack in power. I thought it would feel better, but it didn't and I don't know why. This is an awesome set up. Would love to see this thing in person. |

Is this stock internals? If so i would live it around 300hp. Hate to see a bent rod unless your trying to see the limits of the block.
