Default help needed...connecting LCD to HU?

hey guys. i was wondering if there is a way to connect an LCD to my KENWOOD KDC-MPV619 CD/MP3 RECIEVER HU? I know that you need a HU with AV IN, however this HU dose not have that. Is there anyway to make the LCD work with Sound with this HU? Can i buy a converter of some sort?

thanks

You LCD has sound outputs? Where are they sourced from? I assume you are wanting to add the sound from a DVD player or something. You could look at adding an FM modulator to your system. It is a little box that will have audio in and antanea in and outputs. You tune your radio to a preset station and you sound is "broadcast" onto that channel.

Other than that I dont know how you could do it.

um the LCD probably would have nothing to do with the headunit itself besides getting power and things from the same wires.

unless it is a Head unit you will be playing DVD's or something from, you will need a mobile dvd player of somesorts that will have: video/audio (left and right) out puts which then you will attach the audio outputs to your head unit and the video output to your LCD.

i will be going through this once i get my car back from a tree branch repair very soon

good luck,

justin

Ok lets say you are hooking up a PS2 to your screen and HU, and using RCA cables at that. Frist you would hook up the yellow RCA cable coming from the PS2 to the LCD, and the the Red and white coming from the PS2 to the HU. Your HU must have an input to be able to do this.

The yellow cable carries the video signal.
The Red and White are audio signals, Red being right and white being left.

Good Luck

Or you can use an FM modulator.

Almost any company that makes a CD changer makes an FM modulator. There are probably even generic ones that you can get cheaper. Go to a good car stereo store and ask. Also in case you were wondering circuit city, best buy and ultimate electronics do not count as good stores. They will most likely just look at you funny.

EDIT: heres a good one for $40
