Default What can't you do or don't know that you wish you could or did?

I was just sitting here and saw the thread about poker and I thought to myself; "Geez I sure wish I would like to learn how to play poker". So then I figured WTH, make a thread about it!

So I'll start it out with my own personal list of things I'd like to learn or know how to do:

How to play Poker, Chess and/or Bacharach
How to fly a helicopter (I fully understand the mechanics yet have never been in an actual chopper)
How to correctly pull off an 'Iron Cross'
Know three good party type 'magic' tricks

Post your own wish list of skills/knowledge you would like or plan to acquire.

Fencing has always been something I've wanted to try. As is bartending and riflesmithing.

I agree with you on that one. Perhaps if I went to bed at a routine schedule that would help. I think my child on the way will force me to fix that though.

I could teach Janq how to play chess, and teach Funker how to brew beer, mix drinks, and box.

Wish I could get fluent in German. I've been speaking/learning it for years, LIVED in Germany, and I'm still not that good.

Even that is stretching the boundries of English. Luckily, most of us got the jist. Thanks for the attempt though. I'll be sure to look for some of your posts to pick them apart as well.

1. Really learn how to play good poker, and other card games as well.
2. Learn Italian. (Capisco un po, ma non parlo tanto bene.)
3. Draw. It will never happen though, I have zero artistic ability.
4. Self fellatio (I'm KIDDING!)
5. Be a better Suby mechanic. I'm learning, but am not very patient.
6. .NET (that's the geek in me)

What can I do? I can make a bad ass breakfast. There is nothing like a big cheesy omlette and hot cup of strong coffee on a weekend morning.

play any instrument. Piano is one. I have un-used passion waiting to be tapped.

land a big double, table top or any big jump on a bike or sled. I've did everything else. This may happen in a few weeks on a sled.

make a motorcycle frame from the ground up. This will happen. Not sure when but it will.

poker and welding are almost second nature if anyone needs tutoring

my number 1 right now is photography. Also wish my driving skills were better. As far as the card playing and the sleight-of-hand type magic tricks involving cards I can help. I had a strong interest in magic when I was young and devoted much of my time to perfecting sleight of hand. It naturally progressed to playing blackjack with a solidified counting and money management system with many hours of experimenting and learning at vegas. Hope nobody on this board works for a casino over there

-Speak fluent Spanish.
-Get a M.S. degree in Aerospace Engineering
-Three decent "wow" type tricks to do in the air while on skis. A 360, daffy, and maybe a back scratcher with a tail grab or something. I can jump very high, but doing something while in the air would feel a lot better.
-How to convince any woman that she should want me. I've convinced a few, but that's just not enough.
-How to effortlessly make money so that I can free up some time to learn this other stuff.
