Default What should I do to Tom@kartboy's new iPhone

So Tom@Kartboy called me up yesterday crying. It seems that all the Apple stores in california were sold out of the iPhone, but the one here in Cincy was not. So Tom was crying and begging me to run down to the Apple store, get him one, and ship it to California overnight.

Well, I was stuck waiting for a pallette of parts from a freight company so I didn't make it yesterday. Tom cried that they might be out, but I figured he could deal with it if they were.

So anyway, after dropping TiC Jr. off at daycare this morning I went on over to the Apple store. Walked right up to the genius bar and asked for an 8Gb iPhone. The dude turned around, picked one up off the shelf and handed it to me.

So anyway, I've got this phone for Tom here that I'm about to overnight to him. Is there anything I should do to it before I send it over?

CN: Bought an iPhone for Tom@KB. Should I five with it before shipping?

Yes. Load some Michel Bolton, take pics of... 'down there', and change the color scheme to pink.

Wrap it in cellophane (entire roll mind you), then cover that with duct tape (as much as you deem necessary) put it in a large box and fill it with shipping foam. Add a lemonhead to the top with a pink bow.

go to the USPS location nearest you and pick up the "boxy" looking flat-rate priority mail box.

wrap iphone box very securely in plastic

fill bottom 1/3 of flat rate box with concrete

add iphone box wrapped in plastic

continue filling with concrete until iphone package is completely surrounded

leave box open while cement sets overnight

tape box shut, bring to post office, drop on counter, pay ~$7 to ship.
