Question questions about hybrid swap

so im getting ready to do my 2.5 hybrid swap.... imgonna be running stock 2.0 head on a stock 2.5 short bock, 16g with supporting mod... i have heard that i need to change out my radiator for an sti... im trying to do this on a budget and i just need to know so that i cane factor that in to pricing for everything needed?

no on the radiator, you'll be fine for that. Put the cash into headwork/cams.

I wouldnt see why you would NEED a new radiator just for a 2.5 swap and 16g

Nope. I have a 2.5/2.0 with a 16g. Nasty setup BTW.

I made 260/290 on stock intercooler and sti pinks
of course I have a turboback.

I am running stock 2.5RS radiator.

We did a 2.5/w 2.0 intake and a custom t3/t4 and kept the stock radiator on an '02 WRX, no problems at all.

thank guys i will keep you all post on the swap.. im pulling the motor tomorrow after work... should go pretty good considering i work at a shop

how much boost was you running and what kind of dyno... on my stock turbo and intercooler with my 2.0 with turbo back,cia, 255 fp, protuned by ams in gaitherburg, md on 16.5 psi there dynomite dyno i made 249 awhp and 249 awtq

how much did you run with your t3/t4? i have a 60trim on my sr20 that im not using anymore and i have been leaning towards using it for my suby.. how is it as far as the lag goes..it was nice on my sr20 when it spooled but it was laggy.

good luck on the build i just did mine and spun another rod bearing with in 800 miles on the new block but i was only running my car on 6lbs with the stock turbo and what difference ... the torque is what made the car i also went with the stock sti head gaskets to bump the compression

you have to use STi head gaskets. the water and oil jackets require the STi gasket.
