If you would like to teach me all your wisdom, I have 15 seconds free tomorrow after 5pm. Also many people have done a 4eat swap and left the TCM wired in, so be civil and constructive or stay out of the conversation.

i didn't read far enough back to see what particular 6spd it was, however you need to flash your main pcm to manual

the one fault code has to be deleted by a tuner no matter what...
the other is not causing any problems

and the speedo is already off like 5ish mph because its a STi cluster

it's not about "hiding" the fault code, it's about the PCM not expecting input from the TCM.

Cluster swap won't affect accuracy, something else wrong there.... never did a auto-->manual swap but on the older cars the vss input had to be spliced.

the Vss input is spliced in..the cobb tuner can't read mph so how ever he spliced it was not the "correct way" but it reads no different then before the swap so whats the big deal?

i believe the autotrans code has more to do with extra stuff in the harness and it not seeing the trans correct me if i am wrong but that what i have been reading

yea you need to get VSS spliced in correctly and if the PCM is running the "manual" rom/code, it doesn't expect a TCM to even be there... at all

Depends on how perfect you want it, anything I own I want to run and drive like it was factory... with the extra power/features I desire.

If it's good enough for you, it's good enough for me! haha

So last night I kind of caught something on my passenger side and pretty much ripped the fender liner out. Is it ok to run without it for a bit while I wait for the ordered one to come in?

Can you zip tie any of it on? Also, is anyone else interested in a near mint 16g 8cm that's welded for ewg?

Do you have a real cold air intake, or is it just an inlet with a cone filter sitting inside the engine bay? Aron has a real cold air intake and his filter element will get soaked with any moisture being thrown from the tire, so he can't really drive it when it's wet at all. So long as your car has an inlet that rests in the engine bay, you're fine.

Keep bugging Rob. I want him to buy my header setup so I don't have to ship it out to Brooklyn.

I'm in for tomorrow.

Nick, even if we don't meet up as a group you and I can meet up and I'll see what I can do for you and your car.

I've been talking with Jason, the guy who created the ROM for Speed Density, and it looks like he will be tuning my junk! It's even moar awesome because he is from Indiana, so it's not out of the question to have him road tune the thing. So badass!
