PWN3D Greddy EVO exhaust....

Okay, if anyone is considering this exhaust....DON'T! It was the worst modification I made to my car. I finally ditched the "Prisy-expensive peice of ceramic crap" for the Blitz Nur-Spec. The Greddy weighs a freakin ton, its ugly and looks wayyyyy more aggressive than it is. Please do yourself a favor and go with anything else but the Greddy!

I must desagree with 100% of what you said. The Greddy Evolution is a piece of art, unlike ALL or most of the other Exhaust in the market the Greddy is designed to have a offset do it does not"hang" like most of the competitors muflers creating the Cheap Honda civic street $50 mufler almost dragging to the floor.

As far is performance I believe that it play 3rd in the 11 shoout competition and second or third in torque and first in sound, indeed it was the quiest.

As per the weight, yes , you might found other exhaust that are lighter but power wise you would not find much of a diference, maybe 2 or 3 hp more.

Greddy have been making great exhaust systems for many years, their quality is second to none so honestly I must desagree with your review.

Great looks, great sound, great price, great performance= Greddy Evolution fat 81mm piping!!

I too must disagree with Chris. You obviously wanted a "loud" exhaust which is the reason you like the Blitz Nur-Spec. I've had both on my car, so yes, I do know.

True the Greddy is relatively heavy but it tucks up well underneath the car avoiding the cheap Pep Boys universal fit.

It's barely louder than stock but sounds so much better. Nice and deep...really brings out the boxer sound.

No, it's not full stainless but it is a quality peice. Keep your underbody clean (however hard that may be :P) and you won't have a problem.

As far as it being the "worst modification" done to your car....well gee....considering it made more power than the Blitz....hmmm, makes you kinda wonder huh?

even if you're going by that rigged turbo magazine reiview, you are still wrong. The blitz made the most power of all the exhausts. I just dont understand the logic in paying over $500 for a non stainless, heavy as hell exhaust when for the same price you can get a gorgeous polished stainless steel exhaust that makes more power AND is lighter to boot. If it's too loud for you, you're too old. No exhaust is unbarably loud with stock cats in place.[/rant]

I, for one, am sick to death of listening to fart can, wimpy, punkass, stupid 'exhaust systms' on cars driven by fast and furious morons who THINK they are sO kEWl...
I don't care WHAT car it's on!

I drove big block hot-rods with headers and glass packs before many on this board were born and I'M NOT TOO OLD to listen to THAT.

Loud CAN be good...It's just too bad that so much loud sounds like **** these days.

so now the same rumble that every subaru gives off is "wimpy"....newsflash, blitz's dont sound whiny, they have the same deep grumble that the greddy gives off, just meaner and louder....i dont buy performance exhausts to be ultra heavy (packed with restrictors) and sound like stock.

You are entitled to your opinion just like the next guy, but remember this forum is for opinions of exhausts, not rhetoric and obfuscation.

GReddy Evolution weight: 37.4 lbs
Blitz NUR Spec weight: 37.2 lbs

Blitz is not a light exhaust. It does have better gains than the GReddy though.

You are also comparing the polar opposite exhausts. The GReddy unit is one of the quietest on the market. The Blitz is one of the loudest on the market. All other factors aside, sound level is arguably the #1 reason why people choose one or the other.

Default woah...

Guys guys guys...chill out here Greddy doesnt suck, I just regret paying 500.00+ for a ceramic heavy exhaust. I simply just dont think its as fun as the Blitz. And yes Blitz nur spec produces more power than the Greddy anyways, and its not that loud anyways...im used to it at least. Other people say they can hear it from literally a mile away at normal driving levels.

There is in fact a EVO2 greddy just put out...full stainless, same design...I guess they learned their lesson making a ceramic exhaust finally!

Looks like you should have done more homework
study this and pick the highest db number if that is what you want.

I bought my Greddy with a PDE DP and I love it. Great power gain while keeping noise down.

This is proof positive that it is obnoxious, and that it is TOO loud.
People who have/do this kind of obnoxious behavior just don't realize that other people have the right not to have to listen to this kind of crap.
I hope you get arrested and have to remove your obnoxious exhaust.

*cough* hypocrit *cough*

just cause you prefer the sound of a big block with glass packs, doesnt make it a more appealing sound to the general population then a ricer with a high pitched coffee can exhaust, or a whiney sport bike with straight pipes. keep your opinions that...YOUR opinions. your flaming these guys, trying to prove that there dumb for liking to be noticed, when you are guilty of the same desire, just a different pitch level.

I love my GReddy Evo...Fit is perfect (don't see why it wouldn't be) and it sounds mean since it's mated to a PDE downpipe (I'm fully catless). No rubbing or vibrating and as far as the tip...it looks just like any other tip on a "fart can" exhaust.
