17" or 18" wheel/tire combo opinions
At some point I'd like to upgrade my suspension with a mild drop, as well as upgrading the "rolling stock" on my daily driven '07 WRX. My main priorities are a nice appearance while maintaining decent ride quality. I like the looks of 18s, but a 245/40 R17 would yield a nearly identical wheel/tire diameter as my stock 215/45 R17s, while giving me a substantial increase in section width. Keep in mind that where I'm located, the roads can be rough at times.
Any thoughts, opinions, or recommendations would be welcomed. Thank you NASIOC!

I am doing 225/45's on my 17x8's. It's only due to the fact that I have a wagon and am going to be running a 46 offset....

17s = less per wheel and less per tire
18s = more per wheel and more per tire pick your poison. i have the best of both worlds: 18x8.5s with 255s for daily driving, and 17x9s with 225s for winter and 245s for track/autox. |

i was contemplating going 18x9 for a while. 235/40/18 +35, but i think i'd be more comfortable with 17's
