Default George Bell @ Gary Lang

PJust wanted to make everyone aware of my experience. Keep in mind this is just MY experience before reading any further.

I went in and bought a 2008 ford F150 supercrew Lariat with 31700 miles on it. I paid cash for the truck and walked out spending a hair over 30„000. Anyway i drive the truck and within the first week of having it discover a few issues. Talk to george and he tells me alls he heres is a bunch of accusing which wasn't the case it was fact because my truck is in the service bay as we speak with drive shaft issues as well as a few electrical problems. George had the worse attitude of any person i have ever had the pleasure of doing business with. Telling me over and over again that he is only selling cars because real estate is his thing. All in all Gary Lang is handling the issue so as far as a dealership goes bravo. As far as dealing with this 1 person it could have just been our personality's were oil and water but i would highly recommend dealing with Darryl Stearle. Stand up guy very polite and honest. Will be buying a new legacy for the girlfriend this week from him.

I don't get it. Your experience with who and what? Perhaps where you live stating George Bell and/at Gary Lang means something, but too the rest of the MWSOC (you know, the region outside Chicago) we don't have the first clue what you're talking about. I'm also wondering why you're reviewing the purchase of a Ford truck on a Subaru forum. Don't mean to come across as angry or mean. I just look at the title and don't know what the hell you're talking about and then read the post and wonder what relevance this has to anyone outside your local area/meet thread.

Because Gary Lang is a Subaru Dealership and happens to fall under MWSOC region. If you don't get it and aren't around the area then the post obviously has 0 use for you like you mentioned. So why you would bother reading it if you don't get it kind of baffles me almost as much as why you would put so much effort into responding to a thread that has no use for you especially if you don't understand it.

Was simply trying to be helpful to help others take a left and save breath from a certain salesmen at a SUBARU DEALERSHIP that had a FORD trade in that I purchased. Hope that clears things up for you. I put a few things just in caps just in case. Your welcome. Not trying to be rude.

Honestly they are a Chevy dealership that sells a few subies when they feel like it. They don't stock any STI's/BRZ's (and no Evo X for that matter).

Hate to hate, but Gary Lang is one of the worst stealerships I've ever worked with. They're a quick 15 minute drive for me, but I gladly take the hour+ drive to Grand Subaru because Gary Lang sucks so hard.

OP, not jumping on your shiz. The issue is that you're experience isn't a Subaru experience. I know they sell Subaru, but by and large, it's not their core business and they make is ultra clear. They're big on Chevy and Kia. Hope your stuff gets sorted but I would stay as far away as possible from them. Don't trust them in the least bit and that's from personal experience and catching them up lying and being straight deceitful.

Ya i was just trying to be helpful because the salesman i am talking about works the Subaru side should anyone have been considering a purchase from them and the subaru selection. Lesson learned people can figure out themselves its a dead issue. The small problems were taken care of and thank you. Im glad i brought it into a shop for inspection.

Thanks for your efforts in letting us know. I'm glad you got squared up! See you around I guess. Where you located? You must be local to me considering you hit up Gary Lang.

I am sure there are other good dealerships out there but I honestly had my best car buying experience ever with Mike/Ethan at Evanston. In my case the Schaumburg Subaru is like 15 minutes from me but I drive about an hour to Evanston because I know they will take care of me.

Enough of this - the real issue with Gary Lang is NOT George Bell.

The issue is:

The Jingle:

If it doesn't say Gary Lang on the back, you probably paiiiidd...too much!
