NGK Iridiums
I wanted to get the 1 step colder LFR7AIX #2309 plugs from NGK. The problem is they come pregapped to 0.032". From what Ive read, 0.028- 0.030 would be optimal on the sti and 0.032 may misfire at high rpms. One cant regap these because of the brittle iridium pads on the the top surface will break off when tryign to use a gauge to set them, or even test to see what gap they are. From the specs ive read, 0.030 is the stock iridium gap size, why are these 0.032? Do I go with the 0.032 or attempt to regap? How can I regap these?
My mods include KN typhoon, TB, with streettuner stage 2 tweaked map (timing and boost). Last edited by BrandonWRX; 12-05-2005 at 02:30 PM. |
