Car is about 100hp short of what it should be, if not more. When scotty and i went up to tune the car on the EMS it made like 350 on like 35psi, the cosie cam wasnt reading right, even i could read that on the laptop and i dont tune. I dunno what FAT did after that but it made some sort of difference, i think it should it be a little higher and without a MAF......
Obviously a bunch of people can put up "my twin scroll set up can do that, my n2o spraying a 42R can spool up that quick" bla bla bla. But what you dont see or have yet to understand is that your **** dont make that power till maybe 3rd, if your lucky. This car here on the other hand will pull Gs in low first that only some pro-stock cars can pull, and then in low 2nd and then again in 3rd. So you bring you 600whp sti with whatever and run Dan from a dig, and hope you can catch up. Or run him up the back of a twisty ass mountain, no lag there. Oh what about the drag strip, obviously gonna be faster in the 1/8th mile cuz of those first 3 gears that you dont make power in. Yes you may win in a 60+ roll, congrats go race a supra. And as far a "FAT" pockets go, your a ****in idiot. Me and Dan have more after/bud light hours in that car then you can believe. Him prolly more then me cuz i left FAT. And you guys act like they approuched DSport to get the cover, this isnt the first time Dsport tried to get one of the compound cars in their mag. Different **** sells people! I would love to see Dan come down from Canada, tour the country and put foot in mouth of every hater out there, especially some and most of the Cali dooshes. But thats cali nature i guess so i cant hate. No offense to the cool cali folks. Honestly instead of all this **** talking on the internet, line em up. There is a decent amount of drag strips on the west side. Gotta convince homeboy to roll down from the land of Maple syrup. Sorry for rep-ing your car and talking **** on your behalf Dano. Sorry for cursing. Iv been drinking..............heavily |

Try rolling in 2nd gear at 2500 rpm in your 500 whp 35R, it is not gonna spool near as fast as any dyno chart would suggest due to lack of load in the lower gears. A supercharger does not have that limitation. I don't know what is wrong with you people, this car does have some legitimate benefits, especially for a DD. Give credit where credit is due. Just because a large turbo'd suby can pull a 1.4 60 foot time, does not mean it is a responsive DD in the lower gears. Just because your DOM4 can hit 30 psi at 4200 rpm in 4th from a 2500 rpm start, does not mean it can come anywhere near as close to that in 2nd gear, let alone 1st. You haters make it sound like there is absolutely 0 benefit to this system, but you are wrong. It may not be the system for you, it may not be for 99% of us. But there are things this set-up has in response and lower gear performance that other cars can't touch. leave it at that. |

if the supercharger turns off with a clutch at 5000rpm.....then exactly how will it help him? im not "hating".....why does any opinion that isnt "damn bad azz car yo!" considered hating? If i think that 2 years and all that money is NOT worth making more power below 5000rpm in 1st and 2nd gear then im hating? Its just my opinion....its no doubt a sick car.....but those of us that dont think its worth it arent "hating" we're just stating that its not our cup of tea. And when i said FAT pockets....i was just making a pun. the customer obviously has a large bankroll and the company is FAT....get it...pun. I dont really get why that burned you so bad? its not your wallet..... |

anyway , it was a year and a half and you dont recieve my bank statements so how would you know how much ive got into this ? as far as what FAT was responsable for , I think the price was right on . considering that he warrenties everything he touched ! find someone else that will do that . you wont . anybody who wants to come to canada to c what this car is made of , be my guest . id say its about as likely as me going down there . but heres something you can busy yourself with in the meantime with your Dom..whatever it is . find a brand new viper ,(with a spec clutch and M/T drag radials)and get him to race with you . both rolling in third about half rpm's . and let him grab second gear before you do . pull through 3rd . then take a good look at where you are in relation to him . let me know what it looks like . cause when i did it , i had two cars on him . thats rearview mirror territory son. by the time ur DOm started suckin wind , that fancy car with the snake on it is gone . goahead , try it! |

Y so serious?
Awesome car man. Enjoy beating vipers. Its probably fun. Glad ur happy with the car and money spent as that's all that matters. I wasn't trying to make any personal attacks and if u took it that way I'm sorry. No one can deny ur car is awesome and one of a kind. I was just voicing an opinion from an outside perspective, that's all. |

ya and like we havent heard the ecutek rants . u think i dont know all that ? this aint my first rodeo believe it or not . ive probly built more subaru motors than youve seen . and since richard garcia was the only mofo to get this thing to run right , and on ecutek , i think thats saying something . ecutek might have its downfalls , but my car runs on it where others have failed. |

As the original owner of a Twincharged AW11 Toyota MR2, I can relate to the driveability advantages of the two chargers. I ran a tiny 1.6 liter 4AG motor with a roots-type supercharger, also with a magnetic clutch, and a large (for a 1.6 liter) T04E turbo. Even though it only made 350 whp, from a dead start everyone was shocked by its powerband. I got the same remarks, a simpler setup can make more horsepower. But it was also a daily driver and the nothing compares to the instant response. It took me a while to get the transition just right without any dips in the powerband, so I give props to this setup for figuring it out.

Cool car, I bet it's a blast to drive and would be great on a road course with all that response. Would be great for One Lap of America. Anyway, another crazy idea is the guy in England that is feeding fuel to the hot side of the turbo and spinning it like a turbine to have the turbo always spooled. That's crazy, but it is very effective too, other than his first attempt burning to the ground. I love seeing the innovation and doing things different. Good job my friend. |
