Default v8 JDM sti seats: how can I make the JDM passenger (usdm driver) seat more comfy?

Hey guys,

So I got a set of front jdm sti version 8 seats...and I noticed that the jdm Driver seat (which would become the USDM passenger seat) is more comfortable than the JDM passenger seat (which would become the USDM driver seat). So basically if I installed these, the driver would be sitting in the less comfortable seat. Has anyone else felt this way about their seats both jdm and usdm? That the their passenger seats are less comfortable than the drivers seat becuase its stiffer and less cushioned in the lower back area? I feel this way about bouth my stock 07 wrx seats and the jdm seats.

Anywho, So i was wondering (might be stupid quesiton) if it was possible to make the JDM driver seat the actual USDM driver seat when installed...even though the seat/height adjustors are on the opposite sides. Could I switch the backs of the JDM passenger and drivers seats? I wouln't think so cause the levers are attached to the back correct?

Aside from my not very great solutions...Do any of you guys know or have any ideas how to make the installed JDM passenger seat (which again would be the driver seat in my car) more comfortable like the JDM driver seat?

Thanks

The only way to find out why and how they are different is to disassemble them.

You could send a PM to kspek: http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/member.php?u=32280

He is in the Bay Area and has a set of these (currently for sale) and may be able to answer your questions. One thing to consider is that the passenger seat (right side) may feel more comfortable because it has much more use on it than the driver's seat (left side).

i wouldn't call you dumb.
i think post 8 explains it. if your lookig for a headache free solution buy some usdm seats of the same year, or your stockers if there applicable and swap the bases.
after reading it it had me on ebay looking for some 96 or so impreza seats for my v4's

as the driver seat gets more "seat time" the bolsters wear outwards (depending on your body type) in your USDM car go take a sit in you passenger seat, depending on how often you have passengers it will be more bolstery =]
