I know that this is a question that has been asked about a million times, however, after searching and searching I haven't been able to find out a solution to my problem.

I swapped an 05 STI steering wheel into my 2004 WRX. The swap went fine I was able to re-wire the horn and the cruise control in order for it to work flawlessly. The airbag was plug n play so I didnt touch the airbag wiring at all. The only thing I am having an issue with is the airbag light won't go away, I initially just used the 05 STI airbag charge when I installed it the first time, but when the airbag light wouldn't turn off I disconnected the battery again (as I did the first time as well) and swapped the WRX charge into the STI steering wheel. The light is still on. I tried disconnecting the battery once more but this time let it sit for about half an hour and it is still there!?!?

I really don't want to have to stick a resistor somewhere in order for it to go away but if that's the only solution I don't mind doing it. Also if anyone has done that do you have any pictures of where it would go?

Thanks in advance,

Ax.

Does your horn work?

I have a 05 STi steering wheel in my 04 WRX and did not have to do any re-wiring or change out any airbag parts. I reused my 04 cruise control switch. No airbag light prolbems.

Horn works fine so does the cruise control.

Yeah I don't get why some people's have been plug n play but I had to re wire it for the cruise control and horn due to the way the different cruise controls were positioned.
