Default Is it worth investing in Snow Tires in Richmond

Ok so like the title says.

I'm debating if i should sell my stock 09wrx rims.
Originally I was thinking of buying Snow tires to put on them but recently someone offered to buy them.

So I cant really decide If its worth it since it rarely snows here in Richmond, but at the same time if I keep them I have a safe set of tires instead of my summer ones currently.

Opinions are welcome. Thanks

nah, no reason for snow tires. Lived here for 20 yrs and FWD with decent all seasons do good, awd with same do better. Only reason I mounted my M&S is to use 'em up and get them out of the garage. And most important power drifts work better with all seasons when it does snow.

While there may not be enough snow to warrant snow tires, I would caution against using summer tires in the winter. When it gets cold, summer tires are horrible - regardless of whether there's any snow/slush on the ground. The compounds used in summer tires become rock hard in the cold and provide little-to-no grip.

I'd recommend keeping the stock wheels and putting all-seasons on them for winter driving.

All seasons ftw. I've been driving through the wintery mess in NoVA and Richmond on my Bridgestone RE960AS for 1.5 years and I've yet to have any accident that was not my own fault.

It's not worth it. A/S tires would be a better investment here.

Id do good summer tires on new wheels and all seasons on your sotckers...highly recomend Avdan S4's they drive amazingly well... better than some dedicated summer tires I've owned.

You have AWD, no need for snow tires because it snows 2-3 times a year and only 2-10 inches each time.

all seasons ftw. if it was snowing all the time like what we just had (15-20inch.) local Highway admin. would step up to shovel it. ex. indianapolis, chicago, ect. but here; the couple of inches we get over the winter gets plowed within a couple of days. I was thinking of doin the same with my stockers, but screw it; I'll get a new snowboard with that money or something

+1, I run summer tires (Star Specs) year-round and they are fine here.
