Default 2011 SCCA Solo Nationals and Pro Solo Finale

Solo Nationals Registration - http://www.motorsportreg.com/index.c...2D9F971EB7FA2B

Pro Solo Finale Registration (Opens July 22) - http://www.motorsportreg.com/index.c...DA639F6681C638

With the Finale only about a month and a half away, I figured it was time to post this thread up. Planning on showing up probably late on Thursday night before the Pro Finale and staying the full week through to the following Saturday. Already registered for Nationals, just waiting for the Finale to open up.

So who's going?

So I think they made a mistake. They have Champions listed in the Atlantic Zone championship spreadsheet for each class since there are no more events remaining for that zone. There are three of us in STU tied with 36 points, but I'm being shown as the Champion. I'm okay with that, I'll take the extra 5 points if they give it to me, but technically I think it would go to Rob. I beat Potocki, Rob beat me, so despite us all being tied it should technically go to Rob. That is unless they're only counting the zone where you have the most points, which he's currently leading the Mid-America Zone and tied for first in the Pacific Zone. Since they both still have events remaining, he could technically win/tie for all three. I guess we'll see how it shakes out, just curious if anyone else had any insight.

Out. I was going to try to make it to the Finale, but since I can't make it to Colorado, and I'm not paying another entry fee for Packwood (I'm done with paying for events I can't make... I did that last year too, and it's getting old), there's no point.

And Nationals is the first week of school this year. The principal (who was new last year) has never given me good vibes, so I don't even want to waste time asking for even two days off. In any case, I don't have a way to get my car out there.

I have been on the list for a week or so now in DSP.

No Pro Finale though.

It also shows me as the "Champion" even though Dan and I have the same points?

It doesn't go by how much you beat them by?

Yeah, I think there needs to be some additional clarification. Perhaps I'll send an email to Nancy Downing and see what she can dig up.

Tie breaker language is written in ProSolo rule book. The entire championship point system is an interesting read for anyone looking for a ProSolo championship this year.

As of today, I am leading the overall Super Challenge points in the DS 2011 WRX...so I'm definitely in for the Finale and Solo Nationals!

I'm running my STi with my co-driver for the ProFinale in B-Stock : #87. Sitting in a massive tie right now for 3rd. Planning on pulling out all of the stops to try to lead the different sessions and pull off a back door win.

As for the Tour Finale, the co-driver has a commitment for the following weekend, so we lined up Tues/Wed rides in Mark Davis' E-Stock MR2. I'll be #92.

It's looking like next year we'll have two B-Stock cars to choose from. The STi for the Pros and a Cayman non-S for the Tours. - AB

We are in for the Pro (STU/L2) and Nats (STU/STUL). I'll be out all week, Christy is rockstaring it back and forth between the two.

Probably for just one more season. We're not even driving the car all that well and it's doing great, so I figure we'll give it another season and then sell it. - AB

I've read it. It essentially says that the winner of the zone is determined by who beat who in the event of a tie breaker. Based on that logic, Rob should be the winner (Rob beat me, I beat David). It also says that you can only get the 5 bonus points for one zone, but doesn't say if it disqualifies you from still being the winner in another zone as well, you just wouldn't get more bonus points.
