Not really. When I went in I told the manager that through my state farm agent I could get 2.39. He pulled quick credit report and offered me 2.25, but that's through one of their banks. Bank of the West, but I don't know if that's who subaru uses. My credit score is north of 840.

Practically free money, $10,000 for 3 years, barely more than $300 in total interest.

Damn, you beat my score :-p

Went with a local credit union. Qualified for 1.9, get .25 off for a checking account, and another .25 for auto-pay on the loan.

I never thought that at 2.25 I'd feel cheated. I guess I just took what they offered.

I got the call today!

...then I got to the dealer and found out that someone made a mistake and they ordered a sedan for me instead of a hatch. Three months, THREE MONTHS waiting and it's the wrong car. As I'm sure you can imagine, I'm pretty mad about this and the manager I talked to was pretty embarrassed and apologetic. They found a DGM premium hatch w/ nav and whole bunch of extras I didn't really want that they're offering me for about a grand less than cost, though it's still a little more than the price I agreed to on the car I ordered. They're shipping it here and it should be here before the end of the week.

What do you guys think? This is a pretty huge mistake that's going to end up with me either buying a car that isn't exactly what I want, or not buying a car at all. Do you all think I have the right to ask more out of them? It sounds like they aren't really willing to bend anymore on the price and if I don't get one from them, IDK what I'm going to do because at this point I won't get a better deal from anyone else and I won't be able to find exactly what I want anyway. My thought is maybe I can push them down to the price I agreed to pay in the first place. Thoughts?

I would push for more, they made a mistake and you've waited months for a car that turned out to be not what you really want. look else where just to see if you could get any good deal and show them you'll leave their offer for a better one

Awesome, let me know if you get any other news. I'm buying from the same dealer with the same eta so I'm sure our cars will be sharing a ride!

Had to be shipped to from CO to TX: 6/17

Also got 1.37% financing through capital one auto finance. Remember to wave out there!

Jelly, they really should offer you the prem dgm for the same price. That's a huge mistake in there part. Especially considering you technically can't place an order for another car for another month or so.

I just ordered mine....I really couldn't beat that price. When you get it installed please post some pics on it in here!

I will most likely get new hardware for it once it gets here. I doubt they send nice stainless hardware with a rep lip...especially for only 20 doll hairs and free shipping.
