Default Yahoo's 10 most disappointing cars of 2011 critique of Tribeca

From http://autos.yahoo.com/news/10-most-...s-of-2011.html

Quote:
Subaru Tribeca
Usually conservative Subaru decided to show a little leg in 2005, when it introduced a new design language on the B9 Tribeca. Customers did not warm to the rounded body shape and odd triangular grille, and the Tribeca became the ugly duckling of the Subaru line. Quickly realizing its mistake, Subaru dropped "B9" from the name and abandoned the new look faster than you can say "Fuji Heavy Industries," but it was too late to save the Tribeca. With only 910 sold through April, it is rumored to be headed for extinction.
Poor Tribeca taking yet even more abuse for what really amounts to poor advertising on SOA's part more than anything. If more people test drove it, they'd see that it performs better than pretty much every vehicle in its class...

EDIT: Oops! I just realized I screwed up the title of this thread. Mods, can you change it to read "Yahoo's 10 most disappointing cars of 2011 critique of Tribeca"

Or the fact that the new Outback is 95% of the Tribeca (and better in many ways, IMO) while being less money.

People that buy this size CUV want to feel like it is huge inside regardless of the actual measurements. The Tribeca feels small inside, big outside. The new Outback got a little bigger outside and feels a lot bigger inside. Comparing 3.6L Premium models, the Outback has nearly as much cargo space, more passenger space, 25mpg versus 21mpg, and is cheaper. Why would anyone choose the Tribeca over the Outback? Tight 3rd row seating with bad ingress and egress?
