Pulled the grill off to access the bracket and wiring harness and we decided to swap the relay out for OEM Hella one and it worked. The Subimods relay went into the garbage. No issues with the horns since the install.
I installed the harness like it came out of the package and worked from the first press of the horn button.
Subimods said they put in a 5 pin relay instead of the Hella 4 pin cuz the 5 pin works better.
Mine are very loud and always worked so I never touched the harness cuz I love the quality of their harness.

If it works without issues then that is good. Whether the 5 pin relay is better than the factory OEM Hella relay I am not going to debate but the Subimods wiring harness was well done. Maybe the supplier of the Subimods 5 pin relay may had a quality issue and I got a defective unit and used the OEM one instead.

Ur right, if it works then it's all good. The only reason I say the 5 pin is better than the 4 pin is because that is what Subimods says on their site to selk the harness. So who knows if its true or just a selling gimmick.

Would a different number of pins cause different/better sound?

Stock Yoko tires, stock 15" steel wheels.
Same thing happened to me last week. Light came on during my commute. 3 were at 35psi and one was at 25psi. I pumped it up and nothing since.

Maybe something with the stock tires? I havent heard anything from anyone else.

Hey guys,

Can somebody take a look at their windshield wipers in the front for me and tell me if the passenger side rests on the defroster/heater?

I just noticed today that the passenger one sits higher up. it is not perfectly aligned with the defroster/heater strips...

Hey guys I just got a brand new 2013 WRX and I'm looking to replace the sound system with something a bit nicer. I was curious what others had been putting in their car for door speakers, and where I might put a 12' sub in the car. I wanted to avoid the trunk but I'll go there if need be.

Past that any other suggestions you might have. I obviously don't want to void the warranty but any suggestions aesthetic or otherwise that might make the car more enjoyable for me would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

There's always the under seat subwoofers but they aren't all that great in my opinion. I have a 10" 100w (maybe more, not sure) kicker sub in my trunk, and I love it.

This thread is for the 2.0i Non-turbo Imprezas, so our car is a little different from your '13 WRX now that the Impreza and WRX have gone their separate ways. I'm not sure that getting advice for trunk space will be useful to you since the dimensions are all different.

That happened to me as well while using the wipers while driving on the freeway I just turned it on again snd it went back to normal sitting on the defroster

I thought I remembered someone saying that the front seats from a WRX wouldn't fit our 4th Gen Impreza. I can't seem to find the post/information about it. What's different between the mounting points for those seats? I'm just curious because I have an opportunity to get a set of 'em for cheap from a guy who just put racing seats in.

Mine did initially. I loosened the but and moved it down a tad then tightened the screw. Now it is perfect.

It looks like they completely redesigned the seat base, if there is a way to swap bases you might be able too.

I got these speakers, because they were half price at Best Buy when I bought them.
http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PU...ries/TS-A1674R

I'm pretty happy with them, but they seem to have a bit less bass than the stock speakers did. Go figure. Thinking of getting a sub at some point to fix that problem.

Since upgrading my system, I've heard that Polk Audio is the way to go for speakers.

Re. sub: I'd see what the previous model Impreza guys are doing, since their cars should be more similar to yours than the 2012+ imprezas.

I figured i might have turned it off before it could settle back into position, but i went in the car, turned it on again, and turned it off. It still rests too high...

Has anyone installed upgraded endlinks, such as those from Kartboy? I have read elsewhere on wrx/sti forums that they dramatically improve handling, and I'm a bit tentative to put a bigger sway bar on the back without them. Losing an endlink in a turn isn't really my idea of safe. Do you fellows think upgraded endlinks will help much with a 19mm sway (which I have) or should I throw a strut tower brace on there and call it a day?

I don't believe that a 19mm RSB requires stronger end links to operate reliably. But then again, I think the Impreza's unibody is stiff enough to not benefit from a tower brace either.

So don't listen to me because I'm not giving you the fun answers you're looking for!

It's not quite so much stronger as stiffer that I'm curious about. I've heard that aftermarket endlinks are significantly stiffer.

I have the exact same crack too!!! Tried to get it looked at as warranty issue as I never ran anything over or scraped it but no such luck. They (Subaru dealer) quoted me $650 to replace. NO WAY!!!

I figured I'd duct tape from behind & use some epoxy. Glad to hear there's a kit for this. @Flyboy do you just drill a larger hole at the very end of the crack & that stops it from cracking further?

^this must have just happened as I changed my oil about a month ago and would have noticed that while crawling underneath my car. I haven't hit anything either, which sucks, and that's what I thought Subaru would say. If it was larger I would probably try my luck at my dealer, but it doesn't seem worth the hassle right now.

This happened to me during the winter and it left a nice crack in my bumper. I didnt hit anything, unless it was a hit and run in my neighborhood. The crack is above the fog light void.

you just need to drill a hole slightly larger than the crack, just to make sure it doesn't progress any further
