Default Transport Canada Recall for brakes

FYI
Code:
Recall Date	2014/06/12
Recall Details
On certain vehicles, the center and rear brake lines may become
perforated due to corrosion.
This would cause a leak in the brake system potentially increasing
stopping distances, which could increase the risk of a crash causing
 injury and/or damage to property.
Correction: Dealers will inspect vehicles and either apply an
anti-corrosion coating to the lines, or replace them as necessary.

Does anyone know if they are referring to the hard brake lines or the rubber ones which some of us have replaced to stainless steel lines?

Interesting. I wonder if the lack of '12+ 2.0i Imprezas on the list are due to a lack of reliable data, or because Subaru fixed the issue.

The word corrosion is not typically used in reference to rubber, so I would think it's the rigid lines.

So If we own a vehicle in that time range... do we just drop by a Subaru dealer? or what is the protocol?

most likely the line(s) in question are changed on the 2012+ impreza.

the other vehicles listed are largely unchanged chassis-wise over the years covered. (which is why up to 2014 wrx/sti is listed)

too bad they're not addressing the cracked firewall spot welds Pulling out the entire dash and wiper assembly = not fun.

I was at Wolfe today ordering a new driver's side sun visor and had my VIN run. I'm all clear and Jeff in service mentioned as far as he knew it was only the Outbacks that were recalled.

I find it weird that they would say only outbacks when the recall itself clearly talks about other trims. I still have to call up and get my VIN run through.
