Should work fine. I know I heard of a lot more being made for newer models. Some you have to destroy your own key, others come with a blank you get cut. It should work fine for the bugeye since there is no immobilizer.

I hate these keys. Big, bulky and (at least on Mazdas) they feel quite cheap and fragile. Granted the Germans have decent ones like VW and MB. But I'd rather have my good old fashioned one-piece all metal key any day.
