Default MOMO shift knob and stock boot holder up thingy

a while back someone was making a thingy that would hold up the stock rs or wrx shiftboot when you used a momo knob. if anyone knows who this person was and if they still offer this thing, please let me know.

thanks in advance,
Nate

Zip tie, or rubber band it. Works fine!

Mine is the KB shifter too. I still wanted to make sure the boot didn't fall down.

FWIW if you get and install a MOMO shift boot too it replaces the lower coller with a thread on ring that is attached to the boot. It's not really an easy mod though.

If you install the Momo knob without the metal collar (looks more OE without, IMHO), you can just pull the shift boot up and over the shifter rod. The existing piece will hold the boot up just fine.

I can't explain what it is, but you'll see it when you get everything apart.

the person you're referring to is deezel. i have one of his inserts and it works perfectly. i had to cut it down a little bit but thats because his insert was designed for the race airleather and i have a momo sphere. he still offers it but his friend who makes it is currently moving shops or something like that so production is currently delayed

I have a stock shifter, and my MOMO knob stays up by itself. I was wondering about the boot staying up when I was putting the knob on, but after I was finished, it stayed up on its own.
which knob do you have?

I just wrapped some black electrical tape around the shifter right underneath the knob. The shift boot covers it, and it holds the shift boot up nicely.

Kartboy Short shifter/Momo race airleather.
