It was a pain the arse. Dremeled the hole out so that the sti trim was flush. Then I held the trim in place and drilled down through the plastic bracket/boot. I used a bit that was slightly smaller than the supplied bolts. Then I just wrenched the hell out of it and allowed the bolts to thread through the plastic. No washers, no nuts and its not going anywhere.

got mine today
Got mine today, very nice. It does come with a shift pattern sticker for the console, but it's pretty cheesy looking so I will probably not use it. The shifter knob is awesome, however. I'm going to wait a couple of weeks for my STi shifter trim to arrive before installing everything. By the way, I wimped out and ordered the STi center console, which takes the trim plate without drilling/dremeling. It was only $17, so what the heck.
I'm glad to finally find a Momo knob that mounts without having to rig something or buy an adaptor. For $68, this is a great deal. Thanks to DZ and Ryan for the pics. Nice iPod DZ! Are you piping it into the stereo via FM adaptor? How does it sound? Craig |

I have the iPod plugged in through the aux input on my Kenwood deck and it sounds great. The FM transmitters work OK but I think the sound quality is a little worse than regular FM radio so it was not the way I wanted to go. |

My Momo arrived yesterday. After all this talk about it being so big, it's actually smaller than I expected. Very nice looking. Can't wait to install. lb www.trancelab.com |

To be honest, I would not mind dremeling the original piece, but for $17, having a piece that fits perfectly with no fuss is worth it to me. Craig |
