I'm looking to share rooms for both nights.. The floor is fine with me and I'll still contribute to the cost of the room if I'm on the floor. Please let me know if there are any takers

So I finally booked the hotels. On Saturday night i'm staying at the Hampton Inn and Suites in Lake George. Anyone else staying there? They ran out of small rooms at Dunham's.

Look for an announcement regarding the raffle dinner in the next few days. The premium sponsors have stepped up big time this year. Please make sure to support them and let them know you are supporting them because of their involvement in the 48 hrs.

Brings up a good point.

I know we harp on this every year but it really is for your safety and the safety of the group you'll be traveling with. Please arrive with your car prepped for driving in bad weather, it can't be stressed enough that the weather can and usually does throw us a curve. Remember we will be traveling on small B roads thru out the event that might not be treated in any way.

The weather for most of the area will be nice this weekend...take a few minutes and give your vehicle a once over. Wipers good? How's the tread depth on those tires? Is my coolant tank at the full level? Is my windshield wiper reservoir full & do I have a spare gallon to bring along? (trust us, you'll use more than you think if the roads are bad). All these things checked ahead of time will help make the journey much more comfortable for you and everyone else.

See the Car Prep tab on the 48hrs site for full details:
http://www.48hrs.info/index.php?opti...=89&Itemid=267

Does everyone have their CB's ready?

CB antenna came in the mail today, radio should be in tomorrow. I'm buying coolant, wiper fluid and a tow strap tomorrow. Oil change was done 500 miles ago so I'm good. My younger brother and I are excited... so is my mom to have him out the house for a few days. I can't wait to meet everyone and FINALLY see some snow this year.

Coming from south jersey.

I've been all set with the CB for almost a week now, just to get the bugs worked out.

The car is as ready as she'll ever be. She could use a good wash, though . Gonna try and drag a full size spare along, even if it'll be one of my summers, it's better than nothing.

Trekking down from Manch Vegas, NH.

Speaking of working out the bugs with the cb, mine works but I'm a cb noob so I may need some lesser noob to help me set it up. We'll have to see. :-P

If you have an EZ pass dont forget it. Im bringing tire plugs, my kickass battery impact and a slew of just in case tools.

I see the goodie bag will be handed out Thursday at the hotel. What about those of us arriving friday at the diner? Would it be better to arrive Friday morning at the hotel or the diner?

For those who join us Friday the goodie bag will be given when you check in. If its possible I would say meet at the hotel. We usually try to have a quick meeting before heading out.

Just wanted to post up with the items I will be bringing with me. I am bringing a bunch of stuff but I will be the only one in my car that has to deal with all of it.

If people just want to make a mental note in case anything is needed.....

- one 2 wire & one 3 wire alternator
- coil pack from 97 2.2 (works on other models)
- coil pack from 99 2.5 (works on other models)
- full size spare (16" wheel)
- random bolts/nuts
- MAP sensor from 99 2.5
- set of wires from 97 2.2
- set of plugs from 97 2.2
- tire plug kit
- emergency tire air compressor
- other random parts and helpful stuff
- full set of tools

If you should need anything - ask your group leader or a staff member and they can get in touch with me.
