Default TiC driveline bushing group buy

This group buy is now closed

Here's how it's going to work:

* This deal is only good in the US
* This group buy deposit will remain open until Noon EST of 3/27.
* Upon close of the group buy I will put up a link for final payment based on the final price. Your order will ship once final payment has been received.
* Place your deposit and get on the list by adding this item to your cart and following through on the payment system.
* For those of you that feel like complaining about the price I will set a very special pricing offer of $2,000 just for you.
* This part is important!!! In the comments box when you place your order I need to know your Nasioc screen name, and if you want the comfort or race outrigger or rear diff mount bushings. As I have told my wife many times - I am not psychic. I need to know which ones you want.

Now, on to what you get:

* TiC's new tranny crossmember bushings
* TiC's rear diff mount bushings for the GD and GG Impreza in comfort or race stiffness (that's 02+ sedan and 02+ wagon here in the US)
* Kartboy's rear outrigger bushings in comfort or race stiffness

Pricing:

* 1-10 orders = $90
* 11-20 orders = $80
* 21+ orders = $70

Here's the list of participants:

1) pdippel - race on both - paid - shipped
2) deadkid - race on both - paid - shipped
3) futureficus - race on both - paid - shipped
4) wrx-17 - comfort on both - paid - shipped
5) sTiKnight - Race on both - paid - shipped
6) tonecold - comfort on both - paid - shipped

To make final payment:

For those 6 of you on the list you just need to hit the link below to make final payment.

http://turninconcepts10.chainreactio...roducts_id=349

You will notice that it's less than you expected. You can think sTiKnight for that one - he pointed out that I forgot to put the link to the deposit for the GB. Since that meant you had to go digging through the site for the parts I'm bumping you to the 11-20 level.

Yep. I starting to think that a mirrored server with failover at the core switch would be the way to go.

Ok - site is back up. Seems the techs at hosting decided the middle of the day would be a good time to do upgrades.

I'll go over it here in case anyone has the same question.

- You order the deposit off our site.
- That gets you on the list for the group buy, and confirms a solid order.
- When I see it come through I add you to the list so we can keep track of the total number in the group buy.
- The more we get into the group buy the lower the price becomes until we hit 21 and over.
- At the close of the group buy I put up a new product on the site for the remainder of the purchase price.
- This way your deposit of 40 + the remainder equals the final price based upon the number of participants.
- When you pay the remainder of the purchase price I ship your order, and update the list that you've paid and the ship status.

I really really hate to do the deposit thing, but I've been burned on group buys in the past where folks jumped up and down exclaiming interest, but when it came time to do the group buy nobody bought. On a couple of occasions that left me holding a lot of rather expensive parts that took a very long time to turn over. The deposit shows true interest, and a willingness to actually participate. Plus it gives a more solid count to get to the cheaper pricing tiers.

Let me give you some examples -

1) 9 people buy in, which means 9 people have paid $40. the pricing lever for 1-10 is $90. At the close of the group buy these 9 people would then order up the final payment I will put on the site at the close of the GB. That final payment will be for $50.

2) 15 people buy in, which means 15 people have paid $40. That falls into the 11-20 price range of $80 so folks would then pay the $40 at the close of the group buy.

3) 233 people buy in.... Falls into 21+ range... final payment of $30.

I'll bump this as the rear diff bushing were actually one of the most fun installs I've ever done. I learn a lot about my rear end by swapping these out even though this comment leaves me open to some joking.

Holy cow guys! Given how these bushings sell at normal prices I expected this to be full by now. Does anyone even know about this?

I'm interested, but already have the outrigger bushings. No sense in buying an extra set.

I agree, the problem is I am not allowed to "sell" this outside of the GB area. That means folks find out about it from either looking in the GB area (and opening the thread, and reading the first post) or by word of mouth.

In other words - tell your friends, tell your local guys, scream it from the rooftops!!!
