Default rear wheel stud change.

How do you change the wheel stud in the rear??? I stripped one and I need to change it out??. Do you have to take the whole hub out?? If so, HOw??????

From what I saw with a friend's 2.5 RS, you just remove the wheel, caliper and rotor. The hub should be right there with a few (5 or so) screws holding a plate that holds the studs on. It should be about the same for a WRX.

If this is wrong, someone please correct me.

the studs are actually pressed into the hub. line up the stud with the hole in the back, look you'll see it, and knock the stud out. an air hammer works the best.
for installation, we used to put the stud in as far as it would go, use the end of an old closed end wrench for a spacer, and an old lug nut. then use an impact gun (although this is probably not as good an idea as say a torque wrench) to pull the stud tight to the hub.

I was close. Just didn't realize they were pressed in.
