No Crank no start mmkay?
I have a 99 impreza wAgon and just recently I replaced my clutch battery and starter. It ran good for about 2-3 weeks and just kinda died a few days ago. The car clicks once (so the starter is engaging ) but it won't crank over. The dash lights also dim out but I'm guessing thAt's because th starter is trying to engage. It's not a bad fuse ,grounds or bad connections to the starter I've just got done testing that, so what else can it be? are there any other sensors that i can Chek for open or short to grounds??

You may need to replace the starter solenoid contacts. They wear out and cause this kind of trouble. Make sure your battery has a good charge on it as a low battery or bad battery connections will cause this kind of trouble also.

The starter is remanufactured. Is there a test I could do quick to check it? The batt reads 12.40v so I know there's no parisitic drain.

To see if the wiring to the starter is ok check the voltage at the main terminal on the starter motor. Make sure it is getting at least 10 volts while in the start position. If that is ok then something is wrong inside the starter.
