You might need to roll your fenders in the rear slightly but with an offset like that you might be ok.
Also, the brand of tire makes a difference. The more expensive the tire, the more "true" it is to the listed size. Case in point, I had some cheap brand 245's that were the same width as my 225 RE070's.

17x8.5 ET48 Enkei ES-Tarmacs, 245/40/17 Hoosier AS303 slicks. Woo for "summer" tires, lol. These fit like a 255 or 265.
