Question JDM v7 STi TMIC Install on 02-03

I know this is in Unibomber's TMIC FAQ, but it doesn't answer to this particular question nor has 3 days of searching and asking various people via PMs. I bought a JDM STi TMIC v7. It has nothing but the TMIC, meaning no y-pipe or any pipes for that matter throttle body, etc. I'm having a real tough time getting a straight/common answer. What is needed for an install on the 02-03 models? I've heard the following answers:

#1 everything OEM is fine and bolts right up, y-pipe, hoses, etc

#2 everything but throttle body hose, bolts right up, y-pipe, etc; so you must buy the OEM STi USDM Throttle Body Hose

#3 you must get the whole Perrin or Gruppe-S kit and TB hose

Can we agree on any of these for the 02-03 MODELS<----

Remember this pertains to 02-03s only, because I've found PLENTY threads on the later years but from what I understand the v7 fits this car better/differently than any newer years.

Thanks HUGE in advance for answering 3 days of looking myself.

#1!!! FTW is the correct answer. I did it and will post pics below as proof.

My issues were the following:
#1 Getting the y-pipe and the TB hose BOTH in position to forcefully push on.
#2 Keeping them BOTH on while forcefully pushing hoses onto the turbo and TB.
#3 Although I'm told hardly noticeable, after finished the TMIC sits crooked (left is slightly higher than right)because...
#4 The right side attaches to the bracket and I haven't found a way to attach the left or it would probably fit even. But I don't see how it's possible the way the pipe/hose leaves its position when in the proper fitment.

Good question. I'm 98***37; sure the OEM throttle body hose will fit as I'm using my OEM one with my Ver. 7 right now. As to the Y pipe...I'm like 81% sure the OEM one or any aftermarket one will fit. If nothing else, try it out....swapping out intercoolers is not hard, so do a test fit and that will give you your answers.

Yea I read your FAQ and the v7 link on it like 15 times and, like i said, i did 3 days of searching, found nothing. So i appreciate the post here from you. I will follow through back here so that future people will know the answer.

Vahnatai: I did know the bolts match up perfectly that info is unanimous and easily found, but thank you.

txl146: Thanks for the tip, because that is my plan for now. Also a well known fact about the USDM, but again thank you for your time, reading my post, and posting.

Cool

People are looking for this info it seems, from what I'm hearing. Any chance of it getting moved to the proper section and/or maybe a link in Unibomber's awesome Manifesto about TMIC's? Maybe like the "How do I install a TMIC?" section?

I'm having the same problem right now trying to get everything to fit. Do I just reuse all the stock wrx IC hoses with the V7 TMIC? Do I use the wrx ypipe or V7 TMIC ypipe?
