jesus christ....

you are ****ing LOST.

STOP ASKING QUESTIONS AND JUST STICK TO THE 17x9 +42. Anything wider than a 245 will require a ROLL. anything wider than a 255 WILL REQUIRE A PULL. hell, even that fitment can cause too much problems for someone as lost as you. And if you only plan to run a 245, i'd stick to an 8" wheel. you obviously have no need for wider wheels.

read the ****ing stickies up top.

I did, and if im doing the math correctly a 18x9.5 +35 with 255/35's have the same circumference as the stock wheels.(17x7 +55 with 225/45's)

Just these will stick out 1.4' further.. just trying to check if I can get away with just rolling the fenders..?

Im trying to get as fat as possible on stock setup.

Down the road Ill get coilovers, etc.

holy ****.

your wheels keep changing.

YES you will need to roll. WITHOUT proper camber control, you WILL need to pull your fenders.

you need to stick to a 17x8 +42-48 and a 235/40.

I'm done helping.

Sorry lol I know I keep changing my wheels... I just keep finding better deals right before checkout.

Im just trying to figure out since the circumference is the same.. I should be bale to fit the 18x95 with 255's on them, but I am a little worried about turning.. if there is enough inner clearance??

and why should I stick to 17x8 +42-48 and a 235/40. ??

it is NOT just about OVERALL DIAMETER, but WIDTH AND OFFSET. If you try to fit wheels that are TOO WIDE with TOO LOW OF AN OFFSET you HAVE TO RUN SMALLER (i.e. NARROWER) TIRES. Just because the diameter is the same, doesn't mean "IT AUTOMATICALLY FITS". You are looking at things ass backwards.

You haven't even told us if you have a sedan or a wagon, because that changes things A LOT. seriously. stop ****in posting and start reading. if its too far over your head, maybe you should take the hint that aggressive fitments are NOT for you.

you should stick to 17x8 +42-48 because its a retard proof fitment. You need it.

Under my name under vehicle it says 06 WRX UGM.. not wagon.. its a sedan..

I know wagons have less room. That's why I am asking if itll work.

18x9.5 +35 with 255/35-18's with just having to roll the fenders and possibly pulling the rear fender a little?

I don't want a fitment that is retard proof because that's not the look I am going for. Those aren't flush enough.

This is my first time EVER dealing with wheels. I do engine work.

I have researched and 99% of the time this fitment is on aftermarket coilovers... so I cant see if itll fit stock.

I just turned the wheel all the way and measured the inner distance from the fender to the tire and I had a good inch left, and 1.5 inches from the stock struts.

I am pretty sure this fitment will work.

I am pretty sure this fitment will work. I may have to roll the rear fenders, but stock height is pretty high!

It won't without fender pulling. I've given you a lot of advice, but you don't seem to want to take it.

My buddy said for a 18x9.5 +35 with 255/35 setup, you can run it on stock, but Ill have to adjust my camber. and I can adjust my front camber.. and rear only with camber bolts?

but if this is really a big deal, ill size down to a 18x8.5 +44 with 255/35's

Thanks mav1c for all the help, If I do go with the 17" ill def. go with +42 like you recommended. Im just trying to see what the biggest option for 18" wheels are for the 06 WRX.

If I want to save some money I am going to have to order some by tomorrow :/ This is my last day to decide.

You'll need to roll all around with a 18x9.5 +35 and 255's if you don't want to rub like crazy.

You'll have to buy bolts for the rear, but it's possible they won't provide enough adjustment if you decide to lower your car.

Why are you asking? Those tires are garbage. Cheap crap. If you're going to spend the money, get decent tires.

It is not my money but one will get better bang for the buck (if performance is the objective) going with smaller (smaller diameter and width) wheels and smaller (matching the wheel size) tires from top manufacturer than buying big wheels (usually heavy) and junk large tires.
Just my opinion.

Trying to figure out why they are crap.. and trying to figure out which tire will fit well. I know you told me to go with the Hankook Ventus V12 evo K144. Are those regular size or are they "XL" as well? I definitely don't want a larger size of the 255/35's. If those tires run large ill take the 245/35's

They're cheap Chinese tires. Why do you think they cost so little? They won't have good grip anywhere (dry or wet), and will be more prone to damage (week sidewall). The Hankooks aren't much better, but they're a little better.

I'd still recommend getting the 17x9 +42 DPT with 245/40-17 tires.

The Hankook V12s don't tend to run wide AFAIK.

Hmm.. the difference between the crappy Chinese and a little better hankooks is a $220 difference.

Here are the specs comparing the 17x9 +42 and the 18x9.5 +35

http://www.rimsntires.com/specs.jsp?...9&text2=18x9.5

Only difference really is that the 18x9.5 sticks out half an inch further..(leaves even more room for suspension than the 17x9's)

Decisions.. decisions..
