Here is the information from the evolutionm.net forums.

Date: March 18th, 2007(Sunday)

Time: 8 AM

Location Meet up: Forum Parkway Shopping Center it is off of I 35 right before you get into San Antonio as your going south on I 35 if you are coming from austin.
(Specifically the Chili's parking lot within the shopping center)

Cruise Description: Well, it will be a day full of turns and excitement. Guys, bring a good load of gas, a picture camera or video camera, and some sun screen b/c this is an all day event. We shall cover about 150-200 miles on this trip. We will go on I 10 towards kerrville, tx and our destination will be nearby. A lot of food restaurants that are great nearby for anyone that is hungry during the day we can grab a bite to eat.

This meet will be a lot of fun! It will be full of great scenery for some good photoshoots and you guys will encounter a lot of difficult turns so drive very carefully. We will do a couple of pass throughs so everyone can get familiar with what we are dealing with.

That's hilarious. You have way too much faith in the common evo/sti/srt driver.

like none of you guys ever exceed the speed limit? I'm a careful driver but some of you guys are overly optimistic about enjoying yourself driving a nice road, even at a decent safe and prudent but slightly rapid rate of speed.

Sure, not all are, but honestly the large majority of Evo and SRT-4 drivers I've come across drive like asshats. I live right off of Westheimer Raceway though, so take that into account.

It sounds like a nice day though, I saw part of the Hill Country last year during a company meeting and wished I would have driven out.

I am. I leave it for people to prove me wrong instead. I'd much rather be wrong about a few people and right about a few hundred thousand

I'm a gambling man.

Helpful but far less realistic.

There is a reason NESIC stopped doing these cruises 5+years ago. Hell man there was a wreck on one of these cruises like the week I moved down here.

Combine the idiotic mentality of easily 70***37; of the SRT4 owners, the not a whole lot better mentality of the average EVO owner, and sadly, same situation with STI owners, throw them all together in a situation where there will be "spirited driving" and soon you have people showing off, then trying to one up each other, and the fact of the matter is that 99% of these people (and by "these people", I mean the average car enthusiast) do NOT have anywhere near the driving skills or experience to handle driving in that manner, let alone around other cars that are driving that way. The fact that they THINK they do, makes it all the more dangerous.

These cruises are a great thing to stay far away from.
