Ive been searching here and called the salvage yard and no one seems to be selling the 98-01 legacy GT "mesh" wheels. Do any of you guys have any laying around or wanting to get rid of? if so, let me know

Ah, I was planning on keeping mine around as winter spares, but I think I want to go Brembo brakes eventually, so these won't fit after that.

$200? I still have some tread on the rubber that is useable. PM if your interested.

I'll take pics of it tonight. My digital cam is in my wife's car.

I'm not sure how much shipping would be for four wheels and tires though.

The 16"x6.5" 18-Spoke "MESH" wheels (what I call the Subaru BBS style wheels) were last offered (I *think*) on the 2004 35th Anniversary "L" Legacys. I believe http://www.fandsauto.com may have some of these wheels available for sale, if the logistics of purchasing these wheels from Krazi Ken should prove to be too much.

FWIW, while I am hording my wheels, I do find these wheels to be exceptionally difficult to keep clean.

I had planned to take a tire to UPS and ask them what shipping costs would be. But I haven't had a chance. When I shipped my used engine, I used a different service, so I'm wondering if there is a cheaper solution (anyone with experience with this, please chime in?).

I've searched in the Northwest forum, and I've seen a wide range of shipping quotes for tires/rims, so I'm still not sure how much it would cost to ship, cross country. I've seen $200 to $300?

hmm, well im willing to pay the 200+shipping without the tires even though thats what you wanted with the tires. i figure the 80 lbs less would help if thats what you wanna do. No rush really, just wanted to make sure you were still there.
let me know what you think

The wheels are 16x6.5" +55mm.

200 is a steal IMO unless there's some damage.

I have found DHL Ground to be the least expensive and generally reliable in the 48.

You can bundle two bare wheels together to save shipping. With tires they usually have to go one at a time.

Wow, i just got finished calling all the salvage yards in my area and none have these. I guess you LGT owners are good drivers.
And that FandSauto is way overpriced, like 175 a wheel

You think that is over-priced ? Just get a quote from your closest stealership ...err ..umm dealership. FWIW I think I paid ~ $100 a wheel for some so-so slightly curbed L GT wheels... just to keep my polished alloy/gold Limited L GT wheels pristine.
